Dubstep | Two Fingers – Vengeance Rhythm (KOAN Sound Remix)
Posted by Mach on December 10, 2012
When ever I wait for a track I really like, it always feels like forever. Two Fingers (aka Amon Tobin) sets a high standard, I mean the 40 year old is a legend in cinematic music, if you have ever the chance to hear his most recent work on “Sucker Punch.” It was a little surprising to see he chose a young duo like KOAN Sound to do a remix for him, but once you hit play you forget what it was you were thinking about. Not KOAN Sound’s usually bass funk style, but damn, it will rock your socks.

Dubstep | Krewella – Alive (Stephen Swartz Remix)
Posted by Middy on December 10, 2012
It is incredibly rare that someone from their very first production sets a bar so high that it is almost impossible to reach with future tracks, but Stephen Swartz did just that with “Bullet Train“. In what has become a very remixable track, the Miami native takes “Alive” and adds his dubstep balladesque style to it, using a down tempo bass line, crunchy synths and stirring strings carrying a complex and well layered melody that shows yet again the production prowess of Stephen Swartz in what is just his third track. He is keeping up with the oft-forgotten spirit of quality over quantity, making sure every production is as good as it can be and is a name you have to keep an eye on as 2013 rolls around.

Dubstep | F3tch – Carnage EP
Posted by Sev on December 7, 2012
If you are looking to release some rage after all your exams this week and need a soundtrack to accompany your activities, look no further. Despite the numerous delays in the past week for this EP release it finally made its way onto Beatport. All the tracks on this EP are some next level dubstep tunes, featuring some collaborations with xKore and Cyberoptics as well. The xKore collaboration entitled Rancid is definitely my favorite tune on the EP. The chord progression intro deceives you into thinking its going to be a reggae styled track, but thats far from what you get on the drop. Carnage is also another favorite from the EP. The drops that F3tch creates on all the tracks are so unique sounding its hard to dislike any of them.

Drum & Bass, Dubstep | Pegboard Nerds – 20K

God, I love lasers. Whether it’s a sick laser light show or lasered bass shooting through my ears. Pegboard Nerds have well over 20k likes on Facebook now, and with tracks like this it is no surprise at all. This insane track will shoot your face off. Can you dig it?
DJ-Set, Dubstep, House, Trance | Weekend Mixes 12/6/12
Posted by Middy on December 6, 2012
This week’s weekend mixes brings you a whole variety from dubstep to trance to house. It is finals time and though you may want one last hurrah this weekend, you will need some music to get down to studying and there is plenty of that here. We start things off with The Drop and this week’s show that includes a guest mix from Max Graham and an interview with W&W where they reveal their next track will be coming out on Revealed. Next up we have the latest two episodes of Tritonal’s weekly podcast “Air Up There” that is being rebranded after its final show this Saturday with the recording of their live show in their hometown of Austin, Texas. Both episodes are 3 hour retrospective episodes, so hit play and go on a journey with Tritonal. Then we have Fehrplay’s December mix to finish out the year that brings some groovy house to the table. After the jump you have Tristan Garner’s fast paced, bootleg heavy set from Queen two weeks back along with mixes from Knife Party, Adventure Club, Arty & Maor Levi. Tracklist as always after the jump.
Dubstep | R Rated #58
Posted by Mach on December 6, 2012
Sev had to study tonight, nerd, but he sent me a few of his picks for this weeks R Rated including this first preview. TuneCee didn’t know if this remix was up to high standards. Is he serious? This remix owns face. Huge ups to Sev on this find.
My hunger for new, dope tracks is impossible to satisfy. I literally spent hours surfing around before stumbling upon this massive original. I was expecting to hear some movie samples from “Malibu’s Most Wanted.” Turned out there weren’t any, probably why Hugs & Drugs have my favorite track in this post.
Terravita decided to release a free download for their greatest hits a few days ago. In order to spread the word they added this nasty new Drumstep track. I think my ears are bleeding.
After releasing a new EP, Konec didn’t make fans wait too long for a new track. Remixing Blaster’s “Lasers…” haha. Anyways Konec made sure to give us another dirty track of his to reside in our music libraries. Wonder what else he has in store?

I had a feeling I wouldn’t be able to resist the funky bass on this remix. I don’t even own Adidas, but this makes me wish I did just so I can rock out properly.

DJ-Set, Drum & Bass, Dubstep | Krewella – Troll Mix Volume 1 (F**K FINALS EDITION)
Posted by CHAZZZ on December 5, 2012
Need another excuse to not study for finals? Krewella comes up clutch with an epic hour long mix to help you through finals week. We all know that studying isn’t important, so put your books down and let Krewella take you on a bass thumping ride. This mix is full of all the drum & bass, moombahton, electro house, progressive house, and dubstep you need to get the stress of studying out of your head. Krewella has been blowing up over the past year and I have no doubt that the upcoming year is going to be even bigger for them. Oh, and don’t forget, F**K Finals.
