Bass | Chet Porter’s Remix of Hitmane’s “Over U” Is A Dreamy Masterpiece
Posted by Tay on September 16, 2015
Toronto’s Chet Porter manages to out-do himself with each new release. The last we heard from him was his remix of Jack Ü’s “Where Are Ü Now,” but since then, he’s stepped up his game, and he’s showing it on his new remix of Hitmane’s “Over U.” The original was once a laid-back, xylophone-laden head-nodder, but now it’s a beaming, synth-driven future bass gem that oozes with dreamy vibes. We can’t wait for what Chet Porter comes through with next! Listen above and pick up the free download below.

Bass | Selena Gomez Goes Dance With New “Good For You” Remix Package Ft. Nebbra + More
Posted by Tay on September 11, 2015
From Disney Channel star, to pop princess, to dance music star, it seems like Selena Gomez can do anything. She’s dominated the pop stage with tracks like “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” before exploring into the dance music arena with her collaboration with Zedd, “I Want You To Know,” which dominated the festival circuit this year. Her latest hit, “Good For You,” tabbed one of this year’s biggest rappers, A$AP Rocky, but Selena has gone full dance for the official remix package, which features remixes by Nebbra, Yellow Claw & Cesqeaux, and Kasbo. The three remixes could not be more different from each other, in a good way. From a stand-out future tropical take by Nebbra, to a heavy-hitting trap re-imagination by Yellow Claw & Cesqeaux, to a future bass rendition that is dripping in vibes by Kasbo, the “Good For You” remix package has a little bit of everything.

Bass | Oliver Heldens Drops HI-LO Edit of 90s Classic “MHATLP”
Posted by Tay on September 8, 2015
Most producers would be happy being a superstar in one genre, but Oliver Heldens is not like most producers. At twenty years old, Heldens has championed an emerging genre in future house, started his own Heldeep Records imprint, and is now turning his attention to the rising bass house genre with his HI-LO moniker. HIs most recent output comes in the form of a HI-LO edit of the forthcoming Oliver Heldens & Da Hool remake of a 90s classic, “MHATLP,” and it’s a modern day makeover of an old school track. The glitchy melody of the original now sits atop a bed of raw, rolling breaks, gruff bass lines, and whiny synth stabs, as Heldens dons his HI-LO mask for this edit. “MHATLP” is due out on September 28th via Spinnin’ Records.
Bass, Electro, Moombahton | Lektrique & Panther Matumona Light It Up With “Spark”

Kannibalen Records radio head Lektrique teamed up with the rapper Panther Matumona on quite an impressive bass single called “Spark.” Much like other Kannibalen tracks, this one fuses classical elements with a modern heavy twist. “Spark” is a track that doesn’t fit itself into one genre specifically, but it lies at the midtempo range making it most closely align with moombahcore. Lektrique shows off his intense sound design skills yet again, setting himself apart from a lot of cats in the game. It’s just a matter of time before this guy makes it big like his fellow KanniFam members like Snails, Apashe and Black Tiger Sex Machine.

Still confused why we’re so stoked on him at Fresh New Track? Hit play and have all your problems of today solved.
