The team here at FNT has long been impressed with everything that EDX has accomplished in his career. This year marks the 21st year of the dance veteran’s lengthy career, and he’s starting the year off strong with an anthemic, four-on-the-floor track that showcases his matured, groove-driven take on house music. “Missing” featuring Mingue is a modern-day re-make of Everything but the Girl’s track of the same name, but EDX has given it his signature deep house flair, infusing the track with a warm, bubbly bass line and heady synth stabs.

Posted by Tay on December 28, 2015
It’s been another undeniably prosperous year for Mr. Felix Jaehn, the 21-year-old who’s been stirring up the scene and breaking ground on the more radio-friendly side of dance. 2015 not only saw him release more outstanding tunes, but he also greatly expanded his touring portfolio with performances at Lollapalooza Berlin, Brazil’s Villa Mix Festival, the 25th anniversary of the German reunification, and more. All of this wouldn’t have been possible without the steadfast foundation that he’s established through his productions, and this is what we wanted to highlight as Felix is on a path to further his already influential presence around the globe. Remixes have always been Felix’s bread and butter, but this year, he showed that he also has what it takes for hit originals. Have a listen to the songs that catapulted Felix into the international spotlight after the jump.
House | Gryffin Gives Thanks With A Remix of Ariana Grande’s “Love Me Harder” Ft. The Weeknd
Posted by Tay on December 22, 2015
While some dance music artists have found success with little prior music experience, there’s no denying the advantage that musicians have once they step into electronic production. Gryffin is a multi-instrumentalist and musician in his own right, which is evident in each of his productions. Known for some of the biggest remixes of the last year, such as his remixes of Tove Lo’s “Talking Body,” and Maroon 5’s “Animals,” he is releasing his remix of Ariana Grande’s “Love Me Harder” as a thank you to his fans for reaching 50,000 likes on Facebook. Infusing layers upon layers of lively synths and a walking bassline to match, this remix soars into the skies with its light and relaxing sound. Having cornered his signature sound, Gryffin is hitting the road for his first ever tour, including live instrumentation. His LA show has already sold out, almost a month in advance, but you can catch his set at SnowGlobe Music Festival in Lake Tahoe or at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on January 20th.

Techno | Justin Jay Delivers A Stunning Edit of Barnt’s “Chappell” Ahead of the New Year
Posted by Tay on December 21, 2015
Los Angeles-based producer, Justin Jay, releases his edit of Barnt’s “Chappell” as a gift to us to close out the year. For this release, Justin brings on Henry Was for drumming duties to add to Benny Bridges on guitar. The crew puts their own touch on “Chappell,” with live instruments, driving percussive additions, and subtle production tweaks, and the result exceeds expectations with its overall livening of the techno track. Justin Jay has been changing the game with his innovative stylistic choices, and he’s expected to continue in 2016.
“With Benny Bridges on guitar, I saw this techno anthem by Barnt as a way to start messing around with Henry’s crazy drum sounds. We had so much fun making it and even more fun playing it live. With it being the holiday season, we wanted to give it to you guys (especially DJ’s who need an extra jam for those holiday sets).” – Justin Jay
