Electro-House | Jordy Dazz – Torpedo
Posted by Middy on October 28, 2013
Hysteria Records has been the label outlet for the Bingo Players and their madness inducing tracks, ranging from MAKJ’s “Springen”, to Henry Fong, Mike Hawkins & Pablo Oliveros “Jump”. The label has been a champion of the powerful, big room style at we have seen this year. Revealed Records favorite and Hysteria Records veteran, Jordy Dazz gives us a powerful electro track, that sounds like a race car accelerating and decelerating. Coming up, Jordy Dazz has productions with Bassjackers, Cash Cash and more, as his onslaught of heavy electro continues into the winter and 2014.
Electro-House | Mike Hawkins, Henry Fong & Toby Green – Hot Steppa
Posted by Middy on October 28, 2013
Hot steppin into a big release today are Henry Fong, Mike Hawkins and Toby Green. “Hot Steppa” combines a brass-filled intro with reggae and gritty electro and a slowed down 2-step break to create this very diverse track that is constantly evolving. It has been a set opener for Knife Party for quite some time and has seen support from Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Sander van Doorn and others. Coming up for Mr Fong, he has an official remix for Zedd’s “Stay The Night”, which will be released next Monday.

Electro-House | FTampa – Hero
Posted by Middy on October 27, 2013
I was wrong about “Kick It Hard” earlier in the summer and I don’t want to be wrong again about FTampa. We have been showing him love for quite some time here, and it is great to see the Brazilian’s tracks get recognized by key players in the industry and get the traction they deserve. His “Remember To Breath” remix is still on heavy rotation, and he now gives us “Hero”. The track is gritty and relentless, giving us a taste of the electro house style that has made him so well liked by his fans.

Electro-House | Icona Pop – Girlfriend (The Chainsmokers Remix)
Posted by Middy on October 27, 2013
While I still hold a grudge against the illiterate chick at the door of Webster Hall, my love for The Chainsmokers is as strong as ever. Those of you who were at TomorrowWorld and of course made the decision to go check out Alex & Drew heard this bad boy live. The remix is a bit of a change from the soothing indie melodic stuff we have heard in the past, and incorporates harder percussive elements… foreshadowing something Alex? They made the instrumental beforehand and were waiting for right vocal and in stepped Icona Pop. They made a music video with themselves, kids and candy. Just watch it. In the future, they have some big collabs coming including one with Adrian Lux.
Progressive House | EDX – Hyped
Posted by Middy on October 24, 2013
EDX is known for his silky smooth progressive tracks. With “Hyped” he continues that trend of lush pads and evocative plucks, but adds a subtle break of a deep low end, to contrast the synth work throughout. Grab the latest from Swiss machine EDX and be ready be ready for more from him in the near future.

Dubstep, Exclusive, Featured | Doctor P & Adam F feat. Method Man – The Pit (Doctor P VIP Mix) [FNT Premiere]
Posted by Middy on October 24, 2013
Ever since the explosion of dubstep / brostep in 2011, its infusion with rap has become much more commonplace with bigger and bigger names taking part. The most notable and successful example would be ASAP Rocky, Skrillex & Birdy Nam Nam “Wild For The Night”, which broke through on radio and into the mainstream, commercial audience. You can now add another notable collab to the list, with Doctor P, Adam F and Method Man all coming together on one track “The Pit”. The VIP relies more on the low end and robotic sounds, rather than the high-pitched piercing effects that Doctor P has made his living using in his productions.
Stream the track exclusively below and watch the video for the track as well. “The Pit” comes out on Monday, the 28th, as part of a 4 track EP for “The Pit” that includes the single, the VIP mix, and remixes from Datsik and Brillz. Preorder it all here.
