Hip-Hop, Videos | G-Eazy ft. Carnage – LOADED [Official Music Video]
Posted by LoffyG on January 16, 2013
Earlier today G-Eazy let loose the visuals for his collaboration with rapper/producer Dj Carnage, and I must say this is nothing less than a banger! It was originally featured as a bonus track on G-Eazy’s recent mixtape release “Must Be Nice“, as well as Dj Carnage’s project “Stoop Kid”, which featured an extra verse from Carnage. This definitely serves as a track that you’d play at high volume while partying with some alcohol induced lady friends to get things jumpin’. It has a very similar vibe to Mike Stud’s collaboration with Dj Carnage on “Athlete” so if you like this take a listen to that as well. Watch the booty filled video and grab the free mp3 below!
Hip-Hop, Videos | Gaines ft. Chance The Rapper – We Are [Music Video] [FNT Exclusive]
Posted by LoffyG on January 9, 2013
Minnesota representative, Gaines, teamed up with Chicago native, Chance The Rapper, to deliver us the first single off his Night Crawler: Reloaded mixtape. It was shot and edited by Kevin Ceccon of NeoFilmMovement, who i’ve worked with on most of my “On The Spot” interviews. I’ve got to say this video was beautifully done and an amazing job on his part. A lot of videographers in this game today just shoot videos quickly with no thought process or composition. To top it off they do minimal editing and release the next day, but not this guy. This video has that cinematic look that really grabs the viewers attention. Aside from the video, this song is quality, sampling “We Are The People” by Empire Of The Sun, they speak of life’s realities and overcoming the challenges along the way. If you dig this track be sure to check out the full mixtape below and follow these guys on Twitter!

No worries ya’ll Trill Tuesday, well Wednesday now, is here and CJ Trillo delivers yet another laid back jam produced by his right-hand man, Jim I.E. Check out his latest project “Heavy” if you like what you hear and catch up with him via his social media outlets below.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Huey Mack – Dreams (Prod. Big Jerm) [Music Video]
Posted by LoffyG on January 7, 2013
Huey Mack sent over his latest music video release shot and edited by Ben Foley of Swaggernaut Productions. This song is a dedication to those that have been supporting Huey and helping him get to the point he’s at today. Produced by ID Lab’s Big Jerm, it samples “Dreams” by an Aussie group named Cadillac. I really dig the production on this one, very catchy. Be sure to check out Huey in a city near you with OCD: Moosh & Twist on their Up To No Good Tour!

Hip-Hop, Videos | Mike the Martyr ft. Muja Messiah – Gettin’ Saved
Posted by LoffyG on January 4, 2013
I typically don’t step outside the circle of artists I post on the regular, but I saw this guy Mike the Martyr open for Mod Sun last week and I was impressed with his smooth rhyming ability. After nearly falling asleep to the first opening act Mike came on a brought the crowd back to life. Rapping with only the instrumental and no words in the background, unlike many artist, he didn’t miss a beat. I decided to search him when I came home and came across this recent video release of his, and again I was impressed. Muja Messsiah (another artists I’m unfamiliar with) and himself did nice work on this one, grabbing my attention with their topic related wordplay. What do ya’ll think of this guy? Fire off in the comments and catch him on Twitter.
