Hip-Hop | Jetpack Jones – The Interview
Posted by J_Salzer on March 31, 2012
Jetpack Jones hits us with his latest creation to build some hype for his mixtape dropping Tuesday. Although The Interview doesn’t have a spot on Dharma, Mr. Jones has assured me that it’s one of his greatest songs. Often, artists have trouble picking beats that fit their style, but Jetpack Jones has that area down pact. He aways picks easy going beats that allow him to do what he does best, paint pictures for his listeners with his words. Be on the lookout for Dharma being covered on FNT on Tuesday, and like his facebook fan page below.
“Just to clarify, this track will NOT be on Dharma. It’s for a future unnamed project but it’s something I was really feeling so here it is.”
Hip-Hop | Jacob Es ft. Reeves of Aer – Get Down(Video)
Posted by J_Salzer on March 31, 2012
Jacob Es drops off the perfect track for my Saturday. Jacob gives us a soothing hook, with Reeves of Aer killing it on the verse. Both men are rocking my neck apparel, Charlie Like The River. Get Down exemplifies the style that Jacob Es has come to show me on track after track. I hate to use the word “chill” to describe music, because it’s so vague. But that’s exactly what this track is, the beat, the hook, the verses. So chill out, grab a beer(if you’re of age), and take a seat in your man chair.
Indie | Missy Modell – Girlfriend(Cover)
Posted by J_Salzer on March 29, 2012
Just days after the Beibz dropped his SUPA HOT single, the gorgeous Missy Modell decides to give it the cover treatment. It was interesting to see somebody other than a teenage boy saying “swag” forty times in a matter of 4 minutes. Missy puts her own twist on it, and it sounds gorgeous….and she looks gorgeous. Follow Missy on twitter here, and like her on facebook here.
Hip-Hop, Videos | PropaneLv – Blackout(Prod. D.Shuts & DJ Frank-DuX)
Posted by J_Salzer on March 27, 2012
PropaneLv drops off the latest visuals for one of his break out tracks. Solid flow from the Portland native. With deep, meaningful lyrics.
“General consensus is he’s f*cking amazing. His mother thinks he’s handsome, his friends think he’s talented and all his ex girlfriends have moved on to bigger and better things. His musical influences are limited to the song “Don’t Stop Believing” by the super group Journey. He’s passionate about Music, light skinned women, the Atlanta Hawks, and Tarvaris Jackson.”
The short paragraph above was an excerpt from Propane’s Facebook bio. If this gives any insight into his personality, he’s flipping hilarious. Although there’s a lot of people in the music game that have solid flow, many of them lack something: lyrical content. I think everyone will find Blackout’s lyrics relatable and understandable.
Hip-Hop, Videos | PJ Simas – California Lonely
Posted by J_Salzer on March 27, 2012
In this weeks installment of “Simas Sunday,” PJ graces us with a ballad about addiction. I hate to make this comparison, because Macklemore is one of my favorite artists in the game, but this sounds a bit like the Otherside Remix. With the twangy strings, and the hard hitting verses about narcotics, and the raw passion. You can tell PJ loves what he does. Peep the video of the shirtless Simas above and grab the download link from the description.
Indie | Young The Giant – Ignition Remix (Cover)

Young The Giant covers “Ignition (Remix)”
Yes, they’re wearing fur. Yes they’re covering an R. Kelly song. And yes I have no shame for posting this. California based band Young The Giant decided to cover the R. Kelly classic for a competion they’re doing. They even rented fur coats to fully capture the persona of R.Kelly. It’s the freaking weekend everybody better have some fun, and try and not get peed on.
Indie | Connor Zwetsch – Electric Feel(Cover)
Posted by J_Salzer on March 22, 2012
Gorgeous girls and great music, can it get any better? I’ll answer that one for you, no, it can’t. Connor Zwetsch is native of my hometown, the beautiful Tampa Florida, studied at Florida State University, and is soon moving to Los Angeles to pursue her musical endeavors.. Connor has the ability to make tracks entirely her own, as seen in this video. She takes an originally electric song, and makes into into a beautiful guitar-vocal piece. She has an incredible voice, and the ability to control it, and make it look easy. Check her out on facebook and twitter
