Progressive House | Bee Gees – Tragedy (Forever Kid Remix)
Posted by A on September 12, 2013
I don’t take submissions anymore. When I receive them, I usually trash them. This new Forever Kid remix caught my attention, and rightfully so. While little is known about Forever Kid, what I do know is that they’re a Swedish production duo that are taking the blogosphere by storm with their infectious nu-disco tunes. Their take on the Bee Gee’s “Tragedy” is no exception, showcasing a nostalgic summertime sensibility that is worming its way into the mainstream. Feel the groove. Cool? Cool. Hat tip to Aaron Harper.

Hip-Hop | Tiger Eye- The Explanation (Mixtape)
Posted by A on September 13, 2012
Malcolm Gladwell once posited: “We have, as human beings, a storytelling problem. We’re a bit too quick to come up with explanations for things we don’t really have an explanation for.” Watertown’s Tiger Eye, however, is far from having a storytelling problem, as he releases his highly anticipated “The Explanation” mixtape that features production from Skin & Bones, a local hopscotch champion and international man of mystery. When asked about how he would describe the mixtape, Tiger Eye explains it as “a compilation of the sounds Barry Manilow would make if Suge Knight dangled him out of a window on a hot summer’s eve.” Interpret that how you want, but Tiger Eye is an artist on the rise. Be sure to follow him as he continues on his journey via his social media links below.

Hip-Hop, Videos | RiFF RAFF – OBTUSE ANGLE
Posted by A on September 13, 2012
I’ve said it before and I’m going to say it again, Jody Highroller is the best performance artist in the game right now. Never far from controversy, Riff Raff’s previous video was taken down “by the haters” because his video showed some “hot buttermilk tits.” Talk about nonsense. “Obtuse Angle” appears on Riff Raff’s “Rap Game Bon Jovi” album.
