Featured Artist: Savant

Savant has been a roll lately, and he has been releasing even more since his mishap with his hard drive. I figured since he has an album, ‘Overworld,’ dropping June 6th, it was time for the world to understand his mastery. Savant (Aleksander Vinter) is a Norwegian artist in Dubstep and Complextro, but as we have seen his talents are not limited to the two genres. His 2009 album ‘Outbreak’ released under the alias, Vinter, and was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy. Since then he has release two more top notch albums ‘Nimur’ and his most recent ‘Vario.’ As I stated before, Savant’s hard drive had crashed while working on his new album ‘Overworld.’ Despite the crash, Savant still managed to save most of the album, staying on track for its June 6th release. Savant is one of the better producers that I have listened to, and undeniably one of my top favorites. I have an incredibly great feeling about his upcoming album, it will definitely make a huge impact on the electronic music community. Below are links to his albums ‘Nimur’ and ‘Vario,’ including a teaser for his upcoming album and a few of his most recent free releases.

  • Isaksen Alexander

Could I just let you in on one little, and particulrarly interesting fact about Savant (Aleksander Vinter)? As a fellow Norwegian to this mastermind of a producer, I should tell you that Aleksander Vinter is an autistic savant (thereby the alias Savant) who is also “suffering” from; if you could call it so, the aspergers syndrome. While producing his new album “Overworld”, he had over 180 tracks on his hardrive, all made by himself the last couple of years. You are going to see so much amazing material from this guy, I’m sure of it.
