It’s always exciting to see an artist that we’ve supported since day 1 to make it. Everyone’s definition of making it always varies, mine usually falls under crafting the official remix for the #1 DJ in the world, which Clinton VanSciver just did. The kid still has a ways to go, but making an official remix for Armin van Buuren this early in his career is unbelievable and definitely raises a big red flag that says, “start listening to this kid’s music” in all caps. With his sophomore album, Ambition, only one week away, Wale drops the last single which is produced by Diplo and features Sean Don. Definitely a unique beat from Diplo, but what else would you expect? I guess when you’re as filthy as these two young guns, the currency comes even when you only slightly work. An increasing number of young guns seem to be emerging with quality material these days. Deon Chase is undoubtedly one of the better 16 years olds we’ve heard on FNT so needless to say, he’s in a ripe position to take a stab at the limelight. Not only does he have a smooth flow, but he’s also working off original beats rather than samples – that’s quite a feat if you ask me. Don’t take my word for it, just tune into the new cuts below.

Before you get on my back for reposting this video let it be known that I did it on purpose (Biglife doesn’t make mistakes). This whip session is epic, I’ve probably watched this at least 40 times with my roommates. These young guns kill it. Rumor has it they might be linking up with a FNT artist sometime in the near future.

Here’s another submission that caught my ear. I never would have guessed this x-collegiate athlete gone rapper has been in this game for less than a year. I don’t know if its the hormones in our chicken and milk or what, but young guns seems to be relentlessly infiltrating the music scene. I thought Avicci, who emerged at the tender age of 19, was impressive, but now I’ve come across this 16 year old French kid who just kills it. His filthy Pendulum remix even graced the top spots of beatports charts a shortwhile ago. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this one. Check him out on Facebook and Twitter.
