This isn’t the first time you’ve seen the name SMLE over on Fresh New Tracks page, not too long ago we shared their single “With Me” which featured Hype Turner and Mary Ellen. It’s been a couple months since we’ve heard from the NYC pair, but today they are giving you a million ‘Reasons To – SMLE’. Appropriately, that is the title of their debut EP, which now features two new tracks, “And Laugh” and “Breakfast Is Ready”. The last two singles complete the collection, alongside “With Me”, “Every Chance You Get” and “It’ll Be Okay, which have been previously released”.

Too many artists today get stuck in producing the same sound over and over again, but then there are others who push their limits and challenge themselves in creating something that is fresh and unique. Aash Mehta is definitely of the latter. Combining incredibly catchy vocals, lush synths, and an almost atmospheric vibe, Aash’s new song “2AM” is one that everyone can relate to. Elephante has been destroying it lately, and the streak continues with his remix of Jason Derulo’s Cheyenne. In Tim’s words: “the original track really caught me by surprise – it’s super dark and sexy and atmospheric, and I do love me some dark sexy atmosphere” – and I think now so do I! 16-year-old Long Island rapper Chris Miles contemplates the stability of stardom with “Psychotic,” the lead single from his forthcoming Milestones EP. In the pensive track, Miles examines where he is in his career and if the life he’s headed towards will satisfy his aspirations or make him “Psychotic.” Produced by Nick Monson, the instrumental’s heightened energy makes way for Miles’ confident verses illustrating his drive towards a life in the spotlight that he’s reluctant to embrace, weighing the positives and negatives that come along with it. “I am confused, is this life really what it’s cracked up to be,” Miles asks while in the midst of a national tour.
