Editors - Honesty (Dinner Date Remix)
Simon Shout’s deep house moniker, Dinner Date has been on fire since his first remix hit the interwebz and went number 1 on hype machine two separate times. He takes this 2013 tune from UK band Editors and adds his own chilled out deep house spin on it. Distorting the vocals, and reforming the percussion with some of his own, Dinner Date (probably a great one) mixes in subtle key play and guitars to create a soooooothing new tune form the Editors’ original. It’s another free download from the Miami based producer, so grab it now for your Sunday into Monday blues.

Electro-House, Exclusive, Featured | Simon Shout – SLASH (FNT Exclusive)

Posted by on January 11, 2013

A little quiet over the past few months, German producer / Dj Simon Shout has been busy working in the lab on an EP of original tracks and has allowed us to exclusively unveil the first of his recent works to the public. As a follow up to his previous single we had here “Optimus“, Simon Shout provides us with a peak time electro house track with jarring drop of a thumping bass line, growling electro chords and a big room interlude with layers drawing on sounds from Wolfgang Gartner and other electro heavyweights. We are excited to see what he has in store with his new EP and the rest of 2013 because if “Slash” is any indication, we should be in for a treat.

Posted by on October 18, 2012

Simon Shout breathes some new life into this classic Muse track that has created one of the more recognizable melodies of the 2000s. Young German, Simon Hoppe or Simon Shout let the infectious melody of the original shine prominently, layering it over smooth chords to create a quality 2012 reboot of the track that does not overwhelm the original.

Progressive House | Kaskade – Angel On My Shoulder (Simon Shout Remix)

Posted by on July 13, 2012

German DJ / Producer Simon Shout decided to challenge himself and take on a Kaskade song for his next remix duty. The vocals from the original track remain timeless, having been bootlegged countless times and then changes the tempo of the track, while keeping the smooth, melodic feel of the original. Simon Shout adds a subtle piano melody in the build that almost seems like it should have been in the original to accompany the vocals with a drop of prominent, driving synth chords, quick snares, a hard clap and layered piano to give the melody a full body. There have been a whole host of remixes and bootlegs of “Angel On My Shoulder” that have been quite good, but this has to be put up at the top not only for its quality, but also because it keeps the essence of the original track.
