ColeWorldStillOnRepeat. Jermaine delivers the video for “Nobody’s Perfect”, featuring Missy Elliot off his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story. Now that “Workout” is beginning to lose some steam on the airwaves, “Can’t Get Enough” is still scorching and “Nobody’s Perfect” is the next hit on deck. In an interview after the album release, Cole had planned on pushing “Nobody’s Perfect” before “Can’t Get Enough”, but it’s such a hot record it was evidently hard to contain for that long. We went from not hearing much from Tayyib for several months to seeing trigger happy Tay fire out two new tracks in less than a week. Call us spoiled, but this new one is lava. Linking up with XXL Freshman nominee, Rockie Fresh, as they did on Rockie’s last mixtape, the two young guns have a fresh new sound for the new year. Rockin’ Roc Nation’s own, Jahlil Beats’, production, it’s safe to say there is more than one artist deserving of an XXL nomination. Grab last week’s release, “Tomorrow” as well as we get in line for the prince of Philly’s 3rd mixtape this spring.

Holy hell! I hate you Jay-Z. When I first heard this song I wasn’t too impressed. Pardon my mistake, the visuals add an entirely new dimension to this song. Although it’s fairly short, Cole knocks his verse and Mrs. Carter is nothing short of great. I’m loving the retro feel to this video, from the clothes to the sound of the track, it’s not the first track of this kind we’ve seen lately (check Elle Varner & J. Cole’s “Only Wanna Give It To You“).
In other news, one of the most anticipated babies of all time, commonly referred to as “Jayonce” will supposedly be a girl. This really is a win win for Jay and Beyonce so congrats to them.

Jay Electronica took the hip-hop world by storm a couple years ago when he dropped “Exhibit C”. You would have thought Biggie resurrected from his grave (which in a way he later did when Jay dropped “The Ghost Of Christopher Wallace”). Since then, Jay has hit us with a couple more powerful tracks, “Shiny Suit Theory ft. Jay Z & The-Dream” & “The Announcement”, along with some nice features. Other than those, Elec has been rather quiet which has had fans wondering what the New Orleans native has been up to.
After speculations were flying that Jay would sign to Diddy’s label, Bad Boy Records, after they released “The Ghost Of Christopher Wallace”, Elec turned and signed with the competition, Jay-Z, at Roc Nation. As Jay-Z said about J. Cole, he is in no position to rush artists, but rather give them time to build. Apparently he has the same game plan for Jay Elec as this single, “Call of Duty (Modern Warfare 3)” will be the first off his debut LP album, Act II: Patents of Nobility, which may or may not drop this year. The song features production from Young Guru and a spot from Havoc & Prodigy aka Mobb Deep.
As you can see above, there apparently is some unsettled beef between Jay and Diddy, as he took to his Twitter to send warning shots to the Bad Boy squad. I’d presume this is the first major threat MGK has received since signing to Bad Boy earlier this year. Personally, I don’t think MGK will do anything and Diddy isn’t the “bad boy” he once was, so I don’t really see this going anywhere.

I’m calling No Homo on this post before it even begins. Ladies, bail me out here…
Following her fiery debut with single “Whip My Hair” with “21st Century Girl” which did not ignite as much success, she has returned with her third single titled “Fireball” off her debut album. Ironically, the 10-year old prodigy tags Nicki Minaj for a verse for what appears to be the newest party track. Personally, I find it strange/wrong that Willow’s making party tracks before she can even pack her own lunch, but hey, when you have Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith as your parents, I guess you can do whatever you want. On top of that, she’s signed to Roc Nation, so expect Jay-Z to be building yet another “artist”, much like J. Cole. Chances we see a Cole feature on Willow’s album?

Just when you thought Lil Wayne may have his swagger back after we heard his feature on B.O.B.’s “Strange Clouds”, he hops on a Jonas’ brother track. The unlikely duo remixes Joe Jonas’ recent “Just In Love” song as Weezy drops some PG-13 lyrics for the kids. I guess I can’t knock him cause I’m sure this song will blow up on the radio, and these remixes are becoming more and more prevalent.

For all of you begging Justin Timberlake to return to his musical roots, here’s a sub par treat for you. JT hasn’t released music in several years, but people are anticipating a comeback. Personally, I think this track kinda sucks, but I’m sure girls will eat this shit up.
