Hip-Hop, Videos | OCD: Moosh and Twist – Top of the World (Video)

Posted by on March 11, 2013

The last two releases from the duo of Moosh and Twist have been on point. After releasing “All Alright” last week, they hit another home run with “On Top of the World.” They’ve been experimenting with a poppier, more energetic, happier, style, and I couldn’t be enjoying it more. The video, filmed by Ian Wolfson, known to the common folk as Rex Arrow, is incredible. I know it’s a Monday, but if you don’t feel good while watching this video, pop a molly or something, because I can’t help you. Back to the Basement drops tomorrow, FNT will have it. Shoutout to our friends at Good Music All Day with the exclusive release, y’all got a winner.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Mac Miller – Clarity [Music Video]

Mac is back with the always creative Ian Wolfson of Rex Arrow Films for his newest video, “Clarity” off his Macadelic mixtape.  Mac’s last video, “Thoughts From A Balcony” didn’t quite cut it for me, despite my love for that song, as he decided to give director Justin Boyd a shot at the show.  Lacking the creative edge we see time and time from Rex Arrow, this video is back to the standard I expect from Mac.  Trippy, yes.  Abstract, yes.  Unlike any other of Mac’s video, yes.  Macadelic, yes.  Even if you aren’t particularly fond of the song itself, embrace the Mac.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Mac Miller – Of The Soul [Music Video]

Arguably the hottest new artist of 2011, Mac Miller refuses to let any dust accumulate atop the Nike’s on his feet, so he’s brought us fresh new visuals to kick off 2012.  Directed by the Rex Arrow (duh), “Of The Soul” is one of the more soulfully mellow tracks off Blue Slide Park.  Will Mac experience some deja vu in 2012 and see the same level of success?  You be the judge.

Hip-Hop, Videos | The Dean’s List – The Dream [Music Video]

The Dean’s List released this video for “The Dream” off their 2011 mixtape, The Drive-In, earlier this week.  Setting scene on the road and sharing some footage from their recent journey on tour, Sonny takes it into the vacant wilderness to recite these powerful lyrics.  FTS creative have been making some very impressive videos lately and are honestly giving Rex Arrow a run for his money.  The Dean’s List have been releasing visuals for new tracks as well as singles off The Drive-In for several months now, but expect an announcement for their next project, Generation X, coming very soon.

Where are all my green back pack groupies at!?!?  Let me start off by saying Ian Wolfson of Rex Arrow Films is a genius.  The man can’t do wrong.  Teaming up with XV for the newest video off Zero Heroes, the Squarian brings us a high octane collection of visuals.  The track, produced by Seven, features Kristina Rose and is just another gem off what is easily one of the top mixtapes of the year, Zero Heroes.  If you haven’t added it to your library yet, I suggest doing so asap HERE.

The boys at 1st Round have been quietly preparing the release of G Curtis’ debut album Maximum Volume, set to drop this Tuesday. The dubstep remix below features the harmonizing voice of G Curtis behind Visions top notch production. Here’s what they had to say about this project.

After completing a Nationwide House of Blues tour with label mate Sam Adams, G Curtis went straight to the studio to complete his solo album; Maximum Volume. G Curtis worked diligently with 1st Round’s head producer, Matty Trump to create the proper sound for each track. Even though the album falls under the R&B genre, G Curtis expanded his repertoire by exploring Hip Hop, Soul, and Electronic music. G Curtis and 1st Round’s head A&R Zack Johnson searched high and low for the best features for his album. Collaborations include Sam Adams, Cal of Timefles, Cam Meekins, PJ Simas, and 1st Round’s newest artist; Luvi. G Curtis is releasing two music videos directed by Rex Arrow highlighting the singles Weekend Girlfriend & We Made it. Maximum Volume will be available for purchase on ITunes Tuesday August, 2nd,2011 . This album is brought to you by, Brobible, FreshNewTracks & 1st Round.
