Indie, Pop | Ci Majr is back with her latest scintillating, indie-pop anthem, “Guillotine”

Posted by on March 8, 2021

Atlanta up and comer Ci Majr returns on the scene with her unmissable new single, “Guillotine”, taken off her forthcoming EP Side Effects, set for release next month on April 16th. The indie pop jam once again highlights her songwriting abilities. Listen to the single above now and read a quote from Ci major on the new track above now!

“I actually woke up in the middle of the night one day in May 2020 with one word on my mind: “guillotine”. It’s a little dark but as soon as I woke up I was thinking how it could be such a cool concept for a song! I spent the next week or so fleshing out the lyrics and creating the demo production. The original version was actually a lot more moody and mellow than this really bright and more upbeat version that was created with my friend, Féz, over in the UK. He absolutely crushed the production and honestly transformed it into a hit!” – Ci Majr

Chill, Pop | BETSIE GØLD Releases “Birthday Sadness”

Posted by on December 11, 2020

Rising UK based singer and songwriter BETSIE GØLD is back once again with her self-described ‘BITCH PØP’ vibe on a more emotional single “Birthday Sadness”. Capturing more of that same textured and sweeping aesthetic, this new offering sees her in a more intimate light as she swoons and serenades us through this wistful pop stunner. Check out a quote from her on the release below and stream “Birthday Sadness” above now!

I wrote ‘Birthday Sadness’ with Kaity Rae in our first session since lockdown. The track originally started off pretty upbeat with completely different production, but we couldn’t seem to get anything down. The more we spoke about how this year has made having a birthday even more scary because it’s like we’ve had the entire year taken from us with nothing to show for it, the more the lyrics poured out. Kaity re-did the production and the rest came together. We’re constantly led to believe that time is running out and that everything has to be figured out so young. It’s an impossible ideal. Every year (especially one like this) birthdays make you face everything that has or hasn’t changed, good or bad. I miss the years of not being able to sleep because I was so excited for my birthday, because the only thing that mattered was the party, presents and cake.” – BETSIE GØLD

Albums | Cloudkid releases “Born To Die” by Besomorph & Coopex

Posted by on March 20, 2020

German producer Besomorph collaborates with Coopex with Ethan Uno for “Born to Die,” as they bring out the guitar riffs, and hard bass drops. If you’re in panic right now, not sure where it’s all going, and want to get a hold of your nerves. Press play, tomorrow isn’t promised. Once you’ve accepted this, you can live in peace. Go big or go home!

Ethan, the vocalist shares with us:

The lyrical story portrayed relates to my own experience with past failed relationships. The idea of being “Born To Die” was inspired by the original demo title by Besomorph and Coopex. I felt that that phrase was captivating and perfectly described the atmosphere of the production. I built the song’s story off of that phrase, developing it into the idea that the connection that my ex and I had was “Born To Die.”

Bass, Trap | LUUDE Drops VIP Edit of Booming Trap Banger, “Sooo”

Posted by on December 9, 2016

Off rip LUUDE’s new song “Sooo (VIP)” caught me off guard, but in the best way possible with it’s incredibly menacing soundscape. As it continues to evolve, it grew on me more thanks to the well placed vocal samples that are used as percussive instrumentation and once that sub kicks it this song goes to the next level in my book. While the production is very unorthodox, to me, their is still a feel-good pop flair to it at times and that’s what really resonated with me. LUUDE is a creative, forward-thinking producer who deserves more recognition and I’m calling it now in 2017 he’ll pop off because of quality music like “Sooo (VIP).” So check it out now above!
