Electro-House | Showtek & Bassjackers – Hey!

Posted by on December 31, 2012

Hardstyle turned electro house duo, Showtek and producer and Dj duo, Bassjackers, give us this heavy track that is prime for your NYE playlists. Just like Showtek’s previous productions this year with Tiesto, Hardwell and Justin Prime, this one goes HAM. This may not have the same power as “Cannonball“, but it shines like “Hell Yeah” and should be played as loud as possible late tonight.

Events | Pretty Lights Announces 2 NYE shows in NYC at Roseland Ballroom

Posted by on October 16, 2012

As hinted at the end of his Electric Zoo set, when he said barely audibly over the pleas for one more song “See you on New Years”, Pretty Lights has delivered on his closing set promise and comes back to the big apple in style playing not one, but two New Years shows on the 30th and 31st, making this a must attend event. You could go see Tiesto down in Atlantic City for $125 and be possibly wowed or let down by the performance, you could see Afrojack at his yet to be determined location in the tristate area or you could see the funky, soulful beats of Pretty Lights. The choice is yours, but Pretty Lights when it is all said and done may be the best option of the three, especially with his setup blending very well with the space of Roseland Ballroom. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10am EST.

Update: Tickets sold out in 10 minutes for NYE, but there are still tickets for 12/30

House, Videos | Avicii – Silhouettes (Video Cut One)

Avicii just uploaded this video to his facebook. This is not an official music video, but it features clips from his shows from NYE in NYC and Niagara Falls. I have been dying for this song to release for over a year now. If I am going to be honest, which I am going to be. Although I do love how these vocals sound, I think the vocals on the earlier version of this track sound much better, that is just my opinion. Either way it is about time Avicii did something, in a way he is like Skrillex by how he hoards his music with over 60 unreleased tracks between the two of them. There is no word yet on the release ‘Silhouettes.’ I have high hopes that it will release at least by June so we have a a killer jam from Avicii to kick off the Summer right.

Progressive House | Dirty South Ft. The Usual Suspects – Walking Alone (Fluxus Remix)

Posted by on February 9, 2012

I love it when artists I don’t know send me amazing tracks of theirs. Fluxus is a 17 year old producer from New York City, and has only been producing for a year now. His love for house grew once seeing Steve Angello live on NYE a year ago. This new remix of his is huge. The vocals were already incredible on the original track, Fluxus took it too a whole other level.

House | Bingo Players – Rattle (DJ Bent Bootleg ft. Ru Williams)

Posted by on December 30, 2011

DJ Bent, out of Connecticut, collaborating with Ru Williams to create a sick vocal mix to Bingo Players Rattle track. A dope tune for all to dance to for NYE. Ru Williams vocals provide a new R&B aspect to this house track, which in my opinion works out very well.
