Albums | “Could” HOAX Blow This Band Up?

Posted by on May 31, 2019

Self titled ’empathy pop’ band HOAX released a new indie-alternative rock single called “Could” and it’s the first piece of music from the group in over a year. Quite an exciting for the rising act as this is the first single off their debut album, b? “Could” is one of the catchiest rock songs I’ve heard in a while, and it is so warm. HOAX’s project, b?, took two years to create and follows the narratives of 13 different characters that have been thrown together in the aftermath of an otherworldly series of events. Stream HOAX’s new single above now and stay tuned for their debut LP b? due out soon enough.

Swiss DJ and producer EDX has not only developed a full scope of the evolving world of music for the past 20 years, but his sunrise-styled anthems have ignited crowds across the world with the same fury in every performance.

2016 has been a momentous year for the house music luminary as he pushed newer and broader boundaries. He kicked off the year as the #1 top charting artist on Beatport and juggled a 10-week residency at Privilege Ibiza while also performing on his worldwide summer tour. Posted by on May 31, 2016

Minnesota rapper, The Farrow, brings back that early 2000’s Neptunes bounce with his new single “Snap Tho.” Chanting boastful lyrics between thunderous “ohh’s” and “yeah’s”, the timing is perfect for this record to make waves this summer. The Farrow is a recent signee to Sony RED, with his debut single “I’m On A Wave” tearing through New York’s top nightclubs and being featured this month on Hot 97, Power 105 and more.

Currently based in NYC, the Farrow has a refreshing take on music paired with a creative style that expresses life and fame through an energetic musical lens. In a time where content seems impersonal and lacking in creativity, The Farrow’s candid perspective cracks the lid on an untapped genre itching to be heard.

There’s no denying that what Gryffin has accomplished in one year is nothing short of impressive. The gifted musician displays a multi-faceted approach to production, as he brings together elements of indie with dance, all underlined by his dedication to live instruments, which can be seen clearly in his productions and with his live set. The NYC-based producer made his world debut at SnowGlobe this year, where he premiered his live concept for the first time, before taking it on the road to sold-out shows in Los Angeles and New York. Now, just three weeks into 2016, he’s getting ready for another major career milestone – his first original, “Heading Home,” which is out now on Darkroom/Interscope Records. The track features Gryffin’s melody-heavy style, as Josef Salvat’s soaring croons are balanced perfectly with lush piano melodies and a deep, throbbing bass line that gives “Heading Home” an evocative feel.

“Heading Home” is available on iTunes, and Spotify. Stream it on the electroNOW playlist.
