Bass | Becko Drops Metal-Influenced Bass EP “Reborn”

Posted by on October 4, 2017

Becko, a rising artist based out of Italy, has infused musical elements from the post-hardcore/metal world and injected it into various types of bass tracks. Reborn is the result, a four-track experience that leaves you with something new. Becko was formally the vocalist and bassist for the metal band Hopes Die Last, an aspect that has clearly given Becko an advantage to stand out. Reborn is a streak of freshness that’s always good to hear.

Dubstep, Trap | AWAL Puts Bass Heavy Twist On The Trap Nation Hit “I Am The King” By James Meyers

Posted by on October 25, 2016

If you thought the feeling conveyed by James Meyers’ “I Am The King” was badass, you need to hear what LA’s own AWAL has done to it. To me, AWAL’s signature sound found within is his dark-pop flavor he adds to many of his releases: fast-paced drums, metal guitar work, and eery harmony layered, all falling at just the right time within the beat/measure to deliver an enhanced version of what the original has given us.

AWAL has handfuls of nice recognition that has come his way. He has played festivals globally, Shaq played out his track at Tomorrowland, and he’s been supported by Carnage, Chuckie, DJ BL3ND, Don Diablo, and more.

JOYRYDE has a distinct new single that is breaking grounds for dance music. The Los Angeles based producer’s new original “Fuel Tank” has the makings of a rydrz squad anthem between the disco breakdown and pedal to the metal drop. The track has a spooky progression with bass swelled synths that will put you in a head nodding state. Grab the free download below and roll out.

I am not quite sure who Aktup is, but what they did with DragonForce’s Guitar Hero famous “Through The Fire And The Flames” is mind-blowing. This metal band is known for their ability to shred up a stage, and that’s exactly what this remix will do to a crowd when they hear this banger live. All of the elements of the beautiful original infused with a harder kick of glitch and bass make this a track that should be on everyone’s playlist. Pick up you free download below and follow Aktup on SoundCloud, I hear they are just getting started.
