Hip-Hop, Trap | HIP-HOP | LEELEE HAXI DELIVERS THE FIRST SINGLE OFF HER DEBUT PROJECT

Posted by on August 17, 2016

LeeLee Haxi (formerly ‘Leah Haxhi’) has been dropping loose singles for the past couple of months and is finally blessing us with a full project next month. ‘Pull Up’ is the first release off of the debut, entitled ‘Until Then’, and its chill, late night riding vibes makes it a perfect summer track. Infusing hip-hop, trap and even elements of grunge, ‘Pull Up’ is a great illustration of how amorphous, unpredictable but at the same time comforting LeeLee’s sound can be. If this melodious trap experimentation is indicative of the sound on ‘Until Then’, the project is going to be a must listen. Be sure to listen/share ‘Pull Up’ and to follow LeeLee on her socials @LeeLeeHaxi to stay up to date with more singles and videos off the debut.

Cover, Featured | A Fresh take on Adele’s “Hello” with Leah Haxhi’s New Piano Cover

Posted by on December 9, 2015

Leah Haxhi, NYC singer/songwriter, hits us with another Adele cover that rivals all the competition. Keeping it simple with just minimal piano and vocals, this live video gives you the feeling you are sitting right there in the studio with Leah. At first it seems as if she is keeping it very close to the original, but then the second chorus breaks off into a free-style bridge that adds a unique twist to the song. Live studio visuals by Marin Hamataj and Brenton Ruh also complement the relaxed feeling of the cover. We expect to see big things from Leah in the near future, as she is putting together a demo of original songs and also working on new tracks with various DJs and producers such as Afrojack, Shelco Garcia and Teenwolf, and some other hard-hitters in the EDM and pop world. Abstract Hip-Hop, Albums, Artists, Chill, Freestyle, Pop | Leah Haxhi Hits Hard with Summer Single- “Fade”

Posted by on June 21, 2015

You’ve seen Leah’s unique covers here on Fresh New Tracks before, but this time NYC singer/songwriter Leah Haxhi drops her first single “Fade,” with music produced in Brooklyn by Mike Irish. The track mixes minimalistic piano with jam-sesh vibes to create a natural, catchy feel that blends pop, R&B, hip-hop, and even subtle jazz elements into a chilled groove, ready for the hot city summer. With a June 21st release date, “Fade” is the perfect summer anthem, setting the tone for “driving down the highway” and blasting music while “everybody sings along.” The single is paired with high quality visuals from the hands of Matt Phipps, filmmaker and creator of SkatersAtlas.com.

Leah says “I wrote this song last year on my birthday. I was in the studio free-styling and picturing myself flying down the highway with my boyfriend at the time just listening to music on the way to the beach, fading away into that moment of complete contentment and happiness. This song is an expression of that feeling, no matter what you’re doing in life.” Be on the lookout for more tunes from Leah, as she continues the countdown to her debut album release later this year. Be sure to follow her on Soundcloud as well as @LeahHaxhi on social media for info on her latest shows, music, and releases.

Cover, Pop | Leah Haxhi Drops Video for LunchMoney Lewis Bills Cover with Live Violin

Posted by on May 5, 2015

LH-8
Leah Haxhi, an up-and-coming singer songwriter out of NYC, dropped a video today to go along with her LunchMoney Lewis “Bills” Cover that was posted here on FNT a few weeks ago. She kept the piano generally the same as the original song to stay with the bright, gospel feel of the tune, but replaced the trumpet solo in the original with a live violin. The video is a fun, amateur, home grown project featuring her younger cousin as her “mini-me” to juxtapose the freedom of childhood with the responsibility of being an adult and having “bills” to pay. This shows a quirky, childlike side to Leah that is different from her usual serious, sultry tone. She is brewing up a lot of original music so be sure to follow her social media at LahLahLandMusic on Twitter, IG, and Facebook to get the latest on releases.
