Anytime Mr FijiWiji makes a track it always is fantastic, and same for his partners in crime on this one, Laura Brehm and AgNO3. “Pure Sunglight” is full of twists and turns to keep listeners on the edge of their seats. After a soft intro, the first drop explodes into speedy synths and interesting beats. The drops give an air of suspense and mystery as well. Following the smooth bridge, a more minimal drop follows and finishes out the song. Usually when I see Mr FijiWiji on a track I expect something more chill, so this was a fun surprise. Dubstep | Rameses B – Transformations Ft. Laura Brehm

Rameses B has come out with an amazing track to start out 2014. Every time I’ve heard Laura Brehm sing on a track the vocals are always gorgeous. “Transformations” is melodic dubstep done right. I can’t think of a better word to describe this original song other than “beautiful”. It’s relaxing, well produced, and still fun. Props to Rameses B on this high quality release. Dubstep, Electro-House | James Egbert – Legion (Original Mix) & In The Beginning EP

I hadn’t heard of 24 year-old James Egbert prior to tonight but was almost immediately happy that I did. The young producer has already managed to cultivate a formidable mastery of the filthier side of electro-house, a feat that is most definitely on display in his newest original mix. “Legion” is a triple threat, if you will, showcasing Egbert’s ability to combine catchy hooks with heavy synthwork and top quality production. This track is a monster and the drop at 2:47 is pure unadulterated awesomeness — quite possibly one of the best I’ve heard in a while.
Read on to preview his recent EP, “In The Beginning,” which brings more banging electro-house, excellent vocal tracks, and some gritty dubstep that still features great melodies.

Nineteen year-old Popeska is back with a beautiful electro remix of Laura Brehm’s “Sunrise.” As usual, he doesn’t disappoint; this newest addition to his growing portfolio shifts effortlessly from melodic and haunting to hard and heavy, and the driving, multilayered synths lend an interesting edge to Laura Brehm’s soaring vocals. This track is a bit lighter than what we’ve heard from Popeska in the past, but if anything I think that merely serves to underscore his versatility. We’ve said it before: Popeska is one to keep an eye on. It’s no wonder he’s rapidly picked up such an impressive following in the online music community.
