Hip-Hop | Common Ft. Nas, DMX, & The Knox Ft. Kid Cudi | Hip-Hop

This new track is awesome. Nas is an old favorite of mine so naturally I just had to take a listen. The beat is oldschool, sounding sick with Common and Nas. Both of them kill it on this.

I laughed when I first saw who this track was by. When was the last time DMX dropped some new stuff. This track is a lot softer than the old DMX style. Despite the huge difference from his usual style, this track sounds great. Much credit to you DMX.

Not sure what inspired Kid Cudi to start doing some rock stuff. Cudi doesn’t sound half bad on this and the beat has a nice feel good beat. Not amazed, but much better sounding than Wayne’s attempt at rock.

Dubstep | Drumsound & Bassline Smith, DubMashProductions, and More | Dubstep

This video is just sick, I really hope he makes a track out of that. This first track sounds if Daft Punk started producing dubstep. Daft Punk or not this track is awesome.

This might be a mashup, but I think Zoroaster just got one-uped. Damn, I wish I was this awesome when I was 16…

Hip-Hop | Pharrell, Kid Cudi, & T.I. | Hip-Hop

It’s been a while since we’ve heard new music from Pharrell. He addresses his absence and other things over a beat from Daft Punk’s Tron: Legacy soundtrack.

Here’s a new track from Cudi which is most likely off his upcoming mixtape, A Man Named Scott, that is due to drop this summer. Today on his blog he announced that he quit smoking weed. I’m gonna go ahead and call April Fools on that.

I couldn’t help but to think of Dave Chappelle when I first heard the hook to this song.

Hip-Hop | Travis Barker Ft. Kid Cudi, Aleon Craft, and OnCue | Hip-Hop

Posted by on March 9, 2011

I can’t believe how far Travis Barker is going in life just by playing the drums. He opened a new door to drummers everywhere. Playing the drums isn’t just a beat, but a lifestyle. Kid Cudi comes in on the track with his infamous style of chill verses that we all love. With the SICK drums and Cudi doing his thing, this is an all around KILLER track.

Did someone say Outkast? No, but this ATL grown group sure as hell sounds like them. This track has everything that was great about Outkast, Big Boi sound a like busting raps on the mic and a beat that only Andre 3000 could have come up with. Not very many artist go with the Outkast vibe, Aleon Craft pulls it off flawlessly.

I was sad to hear that this track has nothing to do with OnCue’s upcoming mixtape, Can’t Wait. If this track didn’t make it, imagine how the tracks are that did. Hip-Hop seems to be dividing up a bit using electro, dubstep, rock, and indie like this. OnCue gives me faith that it’s not going to be a bad thing, and we should look forward to whats coming.

Electro, Hip-Hop | Benny Benassi ft T-Pain – Electroman | ELECTRO-HOP

Posted by on January 25, 2011

This is another huge ground breaking track. As I’ve previously written several times before, 2011 is going to be the year electro and hip-hop combine and completely change music as we know it. From electro influenced beats such as “Only Girl (In The World)” By Rihanna to Britney Spears new international banger “Hold it Against Me,” which even featured a dubstep sequence, to “Look At Me Now” by Chris Brown, which was produced by two of the biggest names in the electro world (Afrojack & Diplo)…electro is taking over. David Guetta penetrated the hip hop scene with three club bangers featuring some big names (Akon, Kid Cudi, & Kelly Rowland) that not only topped charts but also planted seeds in every managers head. Whether you hate it or not, it’s the future of music. Bottom line, there is no better music to party to than electro/house and that’s what it comes down to.

Hip-Hop | Kid Cudi ft. Cee-Lo- Scott Mescudi vs. The World

I can’t lie, I wasn’t that impressed with Cudi’s album. I’m all for creativity, but it was almost too left field for me. This was, in my opinion, the best song on the CD.
