DJ-Set, Progressive House | Swanky Tunes – 2011 Annual Report

The end of the year means end of the year mixes from some of the best DJs in the world and one of the first to surface is the 2011 Annual Report from Swanky Tunes. This mixes all the releases that they have done this year into a 72 minute house marathon. They have had a brilliant year and will only continue to get better, so be sure to watch for their upcoming releases such as their “Calling” remix with R3hab and others in 2012. Electro | Zedd – Shave it Remixes (Incl. Kaskade & Tommy Trash)

The Aftershave has arrived to Zedd’s “Shave It” with the stacked remix package of Tommy Trash and Kaskade. Kaskade keeps this song heavy but makes the drop a little smoother with the great production work you always get from Kaskade. Tommy Trash adds his signature heavy electro sound to the drop, while maintaining a lot of the original song with a heavier, thumping bass throughout. House, Preview | Kaskade Mashups & Previews

House | Kaskade Essential Mix

Kaskade is an absolute boss, that is a fact. Last night he played his first ever essential mix on BBC’s Radio One with Pete Tong and absolutely killed it. Fresh off of being voted the number one DJ in America and deservingly so, his essential mix encompasses everything that is his melodic, euphoric, big room sound, and more. It is packed with hit after hit and is mixed perfectly from song to song. I was a bit disappointed he did not debut another song from his upcoming CD “Fire and Ice” for his first essential mix, but he did play “Turn it Down”, the song he has been playing on Identity Festival with vocals from Rebecca and Fionna. Events | ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL – PHASE 2 | CONCERT INFO

Just when you thought Ultra’s lineup couldn’t get any better, they went ahead and added some huge names. Besides Swedish House Mafia (who are still playing across the street in Miami) I can’t name one artist I’d like to see that is not on there. Avicii and Kaskade are two huge additions that have truly allowed Ultra to claim the title for the best line up…ever.
