Bass | Purge Drops Throwback Remix Of La Roux’s “In For The Kill”

Posted by on January 28, 2019

Starting off on a heavy note this year, PURGE unleashes a dark remix of La Roux’s “In For The Kill.” The artist initially provides a haunting vibe, with heavily reverberated vocals and melancholic chord progressions. With the addition of macabre samples, he sets the stage for the release’s face-melting drops, which adequately coincide with the title of the track. Considering the brutal execution of this remix, PURGE demonstrates his plot for total domination.

There is little personal information known about the American bass music act known as PURGE. The uniquely branded artist exploded onto the scene in the fall of 2016, with his debut release “Feel Your Love” via Skrillex’s imprint and media outlet Nest HQ, receiving high praise from OWSLA, media outlets, and DJ’s alike. Since then, the artist has grabbed the attention of listeners for his genre-bending concepts, remarkable sound design, and dark bass sounds.

Glad I checked up on Rockwell Knuckles today, I’ve been meaning to share his music with you guys. I believe it’s been since ’09 that Rockwell has been featured on FNT with his dope track “Government Name,” and today we change that. The St Louis MC Rockwell Knuckles dropped a new track/video for his record “In For The Kill,” teaming up with Converse A/V to put this production together. Personally, it’s not my favorite track by the man, it’s not as upbeat as his regular work, though he still remains one of my favorite rappers, and I’m always excited to hear new records from him. Enjoy!

Throwback from Rockwell, but a must listen nonetheless, probably one of his freshest tracks.
