Progressive House | Dannic – Ignite

Posted by on July 4, 2013

Dannic - IgniteWhile it can be a bit disheartening to see artists copy themselves pretty severely, like Firebeatz did with “Gangsta” after “Dear New York”, or Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have done with “Chattahoochee” after “Wakanda”, it is understandable to see them attach themselves to a distinguishing style they have come up for themselves. “Ignite” could be put in that category, but has enough unique characteristics to be seen as a different track. As a follow-up on Toolroom Records, “Ignite” builds on much of the same formula as his previous single “Clobber“, that remains a mainstay of many sets around the world. Keeping the unmistakable groove and funk that is found in “Clobber”, Dannic switches up the bridge and adds a subtle, tougher sound to its distinguishing features. “Clobber” may still remain the favorite of many DJs, but “Ignite” will be a great update as the Northern Hemisphere festival season comes into full swing.

Electro-House | Firebeatz & Schella – Dear New York

Posted by on September 10, 2012

Firebeatz and Schella team up to bring us what was possibly the anthem of Electric Zoo this past Labor Day “Dear New York” as their ode to the Big Apple. Firebeatz have had a very busy 2012 cranking out remixes and originals and with this heavily supported track, they cap off the summer season with a bang. Sampling the Beastie Boys, a task not to be done lightly, Firebeatz & Schella bring out a varying bass line sure to get you moving with a matching chord progression that crescendoes into a drop of grinding saws, not unlike “Metropolis” that furnishes an edge and energy to give the track traction well into the fall.

Electro-House | Bingo Players ft. Heather Bright – Don’t Blame The Party (Mode) (Firebeatz Remix)

Posted by on June 26, 2012

Bingo Players are nothing new as far as House music and catchy melodies are concerned. After watching the UMF stream live in March, I can’t remember a House set that didn’t contain one of their catchy tracks. These guys always find a way to get their melodies trapped in your head for weeks and just as I was over this track; here comes Firebeatz smashing Electro remix. Taking the heart of the track, the melody, and keeping it intact while adding some gritty Electro synths to create an almost “Zedd Style” remix. I can already tell you this one is going back into the rotation for a few more weeks now. Grab this track on Beatport HERE.
