Drum & Bass, Dubstep | Fytch, Captain Crunch & Carmen Forbes – Raindrops (Remixes)
Posted by Sev on June 19, 2012
Strictly Rhythm delivering an amazing remix EP of Fytch, Captain Crunch, and Carmen Forbes single, “Raindrops”. After previewing and hearing Flinch’s remix last week I had a feeling there would some other good remixes on this EP as well. Also featured on the EP are DC Breaks and Dead Audio. Both providing their unique style’s incorporated into the already heavy hitting original. I hate EP’s where all the track’s are equally great, because then I never know which one I want to listen to before I get tired of the track. Luckily you have three great remixes to choose from as well as the original. I have to say though, Flinch clenched the top spot for me with his crushing drop. Grab the EP on Beatport HERE.
Hip-Hop | Kitty Pryde & Riff Raff – Orion’s Belt (Video)

“The way I ball, I could have played for the Toronto raptors.”
Music is all about bringing people together—especially when those people are capable of virtually crashing internet servers with the snap of a Twitpic. Noisey teamed up with Kitty “Rap Game Taylor Swift” Pryde and Riff “Rap Game James Franco” Raff in Daytona Beach for “Orion’s Belt,” the new cut off of Kitty Pryde’s recent acclaimed EP, Haha, I’m Sorry. Cavorting around a beachside carnival, the dynamic duo gets into some (surprisingly) good, clean fun in a video that will inevitably be referred to as “Rap Game That-Last-Scene-In-Grease.”
Drum & Bass | DnB Fridays

Tantrum Desire back at it again already after just releasing their “Get With It / Reach VIP” EP. Seems as though Rusko is planning on releasing a remix EP for, what I felt was one of his best tracks on his album, “Thunder”. Really looking forward to seeing who else has a remix for this track. 2DB seem to be hard at work after releasing an EP only a month ago, now set to release one on Sunday. This EP is no joke featuring some heavy hitting DnB as well as some melodic masterpieces. They completely innovated their sounds from their last EP making it seem as though it is not even the same people producing this EP.
Hot damn, InfraRed Music is cranking out some monster tunes from all of their artist. Rewind, set to release this two track EP on June 18th with one vivacious DnB track and an exhilarating dubstep track like nothing I have ever heard. Words can not describe the excitement I have waiting for this release. InfraRed has made its way to the top of my list for favorite DnB labels. Everyone should check them out on Facebook HERE.

Hip-Hop, RnB | Cocaine80s – Express OG EP
Posted by dshaq on May 30, 2012
Grab this right now! Although this is rather hard to put into one specific genre, it is unique and phenomenal. Combining captivating guitar riffs, powerful vocals, quality rhymes, and even grabbing features from two of Hip-Hop’s legends, Nas and Common, Cocaine80s makes this brand new EP a must have. My standout tracks are Take My Keys and This Can’t Be a Crime.
Dubstep, Electro-House | James Egbert – Legion (Original Mix) & In The Beginning EP
Posted by Spice on May 30, 2012
I hadn’t heard of 24 year-old James Egbert prior to tonight but was almost immediately happy that I did. The young producer has already managed to cultivate a formidable mastery of the filthier side of electro-house, a feat that is most definitely on display in his newest original mix. “Legion” is a triple threat, if you will, showcasing Egbert’s ability to combine catchy hooks with heavy synthwork and top quality production. This track is a monster and the drop at 2:47 is pure unadulterated awesomeness — quite possibly one of the best I’ve heard in a while.
Read on to preview his recent EP, “In The Beginning,” which brings more banging electro-house, excellent vocal tracks, and some gritty dubstep that still features great melodies.
Dubstep | Killsonik — Bloodlust EP
Posted by Sev on May 28, 2012
When was the last time you came across a track that was classified as “Horrorstep”? One of the tracks from Killsonik’s new EP “Bloodlust” is just that. If you haven’t encountered the video, you can check it out HERE. I can’t tell you how happy I was when they announced the release of this EP. Before that time Killsonik only had one track which was a remix to Nero’s Crush On You. Then a few weeks ago we saw a remix of Chase and Status’s Flashing Lights, that appeared out of nowhere. The two tracks on this EP are both at completely different styles from one another, which is why it makes the EP so appealing. Girly, being a UK Garage/Grime/Deep Dubstep fusion styled track that has some monstrous synths and sounds incorporated into a funky-evil track. Yes, that is a lot of styles meshed into one track. With Bloodlust, you have a powerful bass-driven, LOUD, dubstep track. This track almost has two drops built into one another. The first being a subtle, yet somewhat heavy drop, then after a slight calming of the track, they bring it back with an ear-piercing drop to melt you ears shut. Being a witness of this being played live; I can tell you that it leaves crowds in a state of shock. Grab this EP on Beatport HERE.

Dubstep, Moombahton | D!RTY AUD!O – Diamond Swagga
Posted by Sev on May 28, 2012
These past few days have felt like a musical Christmas. It has just been monster release, after monster release, after monster release. We are still trying to cut through all this music, but it has been hard with so many good tracks to distract you through the process. Being a big fan of both of these artist and avid supporters of them, D!RTY AUD!O is slowly making himself more known to the EDM scene. Getting a big release through Heavy Artillery records accompanied by a remix from Phrenik as well, what more could you want from an EP? This original Moombahton track brings a new “Swagga” to the genre if I may say. This popping laser sounding synth that D!RTY AUD!O likes to incorporate, makes it difficult not to enjoy this track. Not to mention, Phrenik bringing a heavy hitting dubstep remix that is sure to punch a hole through your face (metiphorically speaking). The best part is both artist change up their seconds drops making the tracks even more interesting to listen to. Grab both of these tracks on Beatport HERE
