Posted by BIGLIFE on March 25, 2013
Anonymous musical hacktivist; DSK CHK recently launched his debut EP appropriately named “Boot DSK” with Side A featuring classic and future classic reworks of timeless bangers.
Included in the 3 track set is “Sacrifice” recently supported by Tiesto himself in his infamous Club Life podcast along with a radio + club edit of Chris Willis’ vocals “Just A Little More Love” originally released by David Guetta. Additionally, DSK’s remix of Rozalla’s major hit “Everybody’s Free” lands of Side A and best of all, just like track title, it’s FREE! Download HERE or visit www.bootdsk.com
I’m expecting big things from this mysterious artist… Check out his latest tracks below and visit his Soundcloud for FREE DOWNLOADS.
Dubstep | Au5 – Crystal Mathematics / The Reason II
Posted by Sev on March 24, 2013
You can always count on Viper Recordings to come through with a massive release. After just releasing Koven’s outstanding EP they come through with yet another fresh signing and EP from Au5. Au5 was the winner of the Seven Lion’s remix competition so you know he has some talent in the the trancy/dubstep department, if Seven Lion’s thought so. His title track that was featured on UKF’s channel is next level on the trance-dubstep fusion and of course the amazing Shaz Sparks is providing the vocals. The drop on this track has some craziness going on compared to what we normally hear on this style of track, which helps it stand out compared to the others. His next track The Reason II is along the same lines as far as style, but with a little heavier added touch to it. This is a stellar release overall, and also a great way to kick off the week.
Electro-House, Progressive House | Lift Off #010
Posted by Mel on March 23, 2013
Many things are changing now that spring is upon us. Girls are going to start wearing more revealing clothing, the weather is going to transition from cold to slightly less cold (I live in Canada), and Lift Off is no longer monthly. From now on, Lift Off will go up weekly on Saturdays, primarily because we didn’t like how the tracks we posted would end up being weeks old. This way, every track that goes up will be no older than a week. It will also mean that there won’t be as many songs on each edition as there were previously, though we feel this is an acceptable sacrifice for more up to date tracks. We start things off above with Reuben Keeney’s “Good times together” which is carried by a Kaskade like piano and soft vocals before hitting a progressive drop.
Beatport: Reuben Keeney (feat. Katt Niall) – Good Times Together
Candyland released an EP in honor of their Miami debut at WMC. My favorite track of the EP is their festival remix of Timeflies’ “Nothing At All”.
The Plastic People remix of the Imagine Dragons “It’s Time” was my favorite song for quite a while. Markus Cole does a magnificent job of giving the song a progressive refresh that brought the indie-rock song back to life.
No uplifting chords or melodies to be found here, Kevin Drew’s latest “Halogen” is just a massive big room track.
Dubstep | MUST DIE! – Octopus
Posted by Sev on March 19, 2013
Wow MUST DIE! went absolutely crazy on his latest release. This talented artist creates so much music that he has no idea what to do with half of it because he already has so many projects in he works with labels. So what better idea than to give it away to his caring fans? Out of his latest free EP we caught a glimpse of an assortment of different genres, but this track of course grasped my attention right away. The bassline is just so meaty and grimy that it punches you right away once the track drops. The nice big-room sounding high synth in the background adds a great atmosphere to the track helping deliver a mean impact to the listener. Grab this amazing free download along with the EP posted below.
DJ-Set, House | DIrty South Essential Mix 3/16/13
Posted by Middy on March 16, 2013
Coming off of his debut album “Speed of Life“, Dirty South has taken over the reigns of the legendary essential mix to showcase his own new music as well some new tunes from his label and others. With Ultra dominating the dance music discussion, Dirty South had the untenable task of trying to create a set that would capture the hearts and minds of those in Miami or who wish they were. There are a few bootlegs in here, but overall this mix is not about strong mixing skills, but rather a great track selection and brand new tunes from start to finish.
Dirty South starts out with the title track of his album “Speed Of Life”, adding in the vocals from “City Of Dreams”and then moves through one of the several premiers from his own Phazing Records, Those Unusual Suspects’ “Blaze”. Later on we get the first glimpse of what is to come from Michael Brun’s upcoming EP on Phazing with his single with Zashanell “Halfway”. The Australian star puts on full display unreleased tracks from major labels like Size, Spinnin and Mau5trap with tracks such as “Liceu” from Sebjak & Marcus Shossow and “Here & Now” from Ummet Ozcan. He gives the radio premier of the Jacques Lu Cont remix of his still potent “City Of Dreams”, keeping the same melodic properties of the original, while adding his own twist and has the exclusive of Ivan Gough vs Steve Bleas & Stevie Mink’s “Boom”, forthcoming on Size Records and a new Pryda record “F.A.T.”, something that always gets the blood flowing. Pryda did very well last night with not only the premier of this record, but the even bigger “Power Drive” on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection, a track that is to be part of his next EP. While this essential may not stack up against the epic Eric Prydz essential mix back in February, but then again there may not be any that will, the Aussie has put in a very strong mix to continue his outstanding start to the year.

I’m just going to call this right now, Dotcom will have a huge year this year. He’s got his first official EP dropping sometime this summer, he’s got a few rumored collabs coming up, and he’s consistently putting out Beatport Dubstep top 10 worthy tracks. For you hip-hop heads, Dotcom gives you a full minute of the original track and then just slaps you in the face with an edit that would make baby Jesus smile. Dubstep, Trap | Hopscotch – Emotion
Posted by Mach on March 12, 2013
“Emotion” is exactly what this new free single from Hopscotch is. It is a melodic blend of purple bass, Trap, and Dubstep, not the usuals we are use to hearing together. With production help from Releece, Hopscotch wrote beauty into this track. Besides how great her voice is, her verses fit perfectly into the “Emotion” that is this tracks instrumental. No date or name set yet, but Hopscotch has announced that she has an EP coming soon.
