Maye Star has spent the last several months carefully carving his sound, selecting the right beats, and among other things, building his fan base. The 16 year old Boston MC is not satisfied with anything less than perfection, assuring the music he puts out is consist, versatile, and of high quality. With that being said, he has scrapped the past songs we dropped which were initially set to be featured on his debut mixtape, Mayeham, as this is the first official release from the project. Produced by International Show, Maye provides one for both the ladies and gents. I introduced Maye Star a couple weeks back with the release of his first single, “Go Hard”, off his upcoming mixtape, Mayeham. In lieu of the birth of baby jesus, Maye gift wrapped rapped up this promo freestyle over Bow Wow’s track, “Crunch Time”, produced by Roc Nation’s own Jahlil Beats on this crisp Christmas afternoon. This track will not be featured on Maye’s upcoming mixtape, but gives you an idea of the wordplay he is capable of exercising. With features on the project from XXL Freshman 2012 nominee, Los, fellow Bostonians, Moufy & De-Lor among others, this FNT sponsored tape is already shaping up to be a breakout project.
