Hip-Hop | Drake ft. Lil Wayne- HYFR (Video)

Posted by on April 6, 2012

Toronto’s Very Own, Drizzy Drake rogers drops the highly anticipated visuals to his next single, “HYFR” off his platinum selling “Take Care” that dropped earlier this year. Set in a Jewish temple, Drake creates a bar mitzvah scenario, and all the homies are invited. Wayne is slumped in a chair white an Odd Future knock off panda-themed ski mask, Birdman is in his usual blood attire, and DJ Khaled looks confused as always. While Drake has traditionally struggled with making a music video, this one is perhaps his most light-hearted, showing a less serious side of the twenty-five year old man sitting on 25 mill. L’chaim!

Paul Markham returns to drop another one of his signature remixes. This time he went over the beat of Drake’s Underground Kingz. He definitely goes pretty hard on this one, not to mention he has taken his sound quality and production to the next level as well. Expect another one of these tracks to be releasing sooner than you know it. If you haven’t checked out Paul’s most recent mixtape, Progression Of Paul you can grab the download below.

Videos | Joseph SoMo & Cody Tarpley- Drake Medley (Cover)

Posted by on February 14, 2012

Denton, Texas based talent, Joseph Somo, is back at it again with another exceptional video that covers stand out tracks from Drake’s sophomore effort “Take Care”. With the release of this new video, I’m convinced that Joseph SoMo and Cody Tarpley are the Drake and 40 of the cover game right now. Absolutely unstoppable. If SoMo keeps making covers like this, he won’t be able to go out of his own house without a flashmob of tween girls giving chase. Must be tough to be him. Hip-Hop, Rap | Blue Ivy Carter, Jeezy x Drake, Big Sean, Meek Mill

Posted by on February 11, 2012

Above is the first public sighting of Jay & Beyonce’s baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter.  Looks like Hov minus the Yankee’s cap.  Anyone care to guess what her first words will be? More pics below.  For the record, I think this song below sounds terribly forced by Jay.

Out of nowhere, Drizzy hops on Jeezy’s “I Do”, which already featured Jay-Z & Andre 3k.  There is some speculation that this was the original version for TM: 103 Hustlerz Ambition, but for whatever reason, Jeezy cut out Drake’s verse.

Here’s what Big Sean Don had to say (via Twitter) regarding the bars he spit of J Dilla’s classic,

“In honor of J Dilla being one of the most influential producers of all time, I decided to lay a verse to one of my favorite tracks off of J Dilla’s “Donuts”. Being from Detroit I feel I have a responsibility to honor his legacy n continue it in my own way. His soul will live forever! RIP J Dilla “Two Can Win” freestyle.”

Meek Mill’s latest single (CDQ) off his upcoming project, Dreams & Nightmares, features the Boss of Miami.  Produced by Cardiak, load the semi’s.

Videos | Mike Posner ft. Blackbear – Stay Schemin’ (Cover)

Posted by on January 15, 2012

This is what I’m talking about. I’m not even a Mike Posner fan. This is pure genius. Even though we love to pick on various artists in the industry, there’s a reason why they’re signed and others are not. This is why Mike Posner is signed to a major label. He’s pure talent, he’s got a great beard, and he’s got the vocal range of a high school girl who uploads her covers to Youtube. He’s really the triple threat-and shows it by covering Rick Ross’s “Stay Schemin” off his recent “Rich Forever” mixtape featuring Drake and French Montana. As a bonus, I’ve included the original track as well as the cover mp3.

Freestyle, Hip-Hop | Chiddy Bang, Los, Mod Sun x G-Eazy

Hahaha this video is awesome.  Xaphoon works his magic for the second single off Chiddy Bang’s upcoming album, Breakfast set to be released on February 28th, pulling a Ray Charles sounding piano riff along with soulful background vocals into the beat.  Chiddy and Xaph take it back to their younger days in Chiddy’s basement which segways into a full fledged gospel service which is a play off the original Blues Brothers scene.  Like the first single, “Mind Your Manners”, this song is catchy as hell with some clever verses from Chiddy, but primarily a dope sample from Xaph.

After touring together for several months, Mod Sun recruits G-Eazy and Meta (not to be confused with Metta World Peace) for his newest track produced by Adam Ivy.  “Rappin’ A$$ Rappers” just goes to show how thug Mod Sun and G-Eazy are.  Hah, psych.  They’re probably two of the most easy going hippies artists in the game and the polar opposite of DMX.  Stay up, they’re coming.

After releasing one of the dopest mixtapes of the year, Los continues doing what he does by rocking a freestyle to Drake’s “Lord Knows” off Take Care.  I’ve heard better free’s from Los, but he’s grown into one of my favorite new artists so it’s impossible to hate on it.  I do respect the Tebow line he threw in though.

Hip-Hop, Rap | Yo Gotti f. Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., & Big Sean – Go Girl

Posted by on January 4, 2012

In this video above, Melo-X brings us a Live Re-Edit from Drake’s collaboration with The Weeknd off his recent album, Take Care. I’m posting this video in addition to Yo Gotti’s new track because I feel like it needs to be seen by the FNT faithful.

Yo Gotti brings us his latest single off his upcoming album, Live From The Kitchen. Dropping, Go Girl, which features three of the bigger names in hip hop today (Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, & Big K.R.I.T.), Yo Gotti tries to create some last minute buzz for a project no one seems to be excited about.
