Up and coming rapper D-WHY hits us with double visuals for “Legacy/Young, Loved, Hated, & Broke” off his chart topping album Young, Loved, Hated & Broke EP  shot on tour. You can stream the entire album on SoundCloud here and if you haven’t yet make sure you support! Here’s what D-WHY had to say about this release:

“My goal for the past several months was tour as much as possible and continue building my fanbase organically. I’m proud to say that’s exactly what I’ve done. I’ve been on the road a lot, performing, meeting fans and getting inspired. It’s been an incredible experience and this video sums it all up.”

This is a must listen and a must download!

Hip-Hop, Videos | D-WHY – Flattery [Music Video]

Posted by on March 31, 2013

After the success of his road-tripping music video for “2,000 Miles,” D-WHY is back with another cinematic piece for “Flattery” off of his debut project, Don’t Flatter Yourself. In the video, he chose a less joyous way to tell the story. This time, David “D-WHY” Morris takes on a James Bond-like character whose female companion gets into the wrong hands but little did they know, Morris is the one not to be messed with. Fitted with an ensemble from one of the finest suitmakers in the world, Brioni, along with other pieces from his own wardrobe, the self-dressed man and unsigned music artist is continuing with the monochrome, action-packed series he began with his “New York Times” video last summer. Check out the video and be sure to download his debut project below.

It’s been nearly a year since Hoodie Allen carved his niche in the wildly diverse music industry with the release of his chart topping EP, All American.  Since, Hoodie has been working tirelessly on his next album, Crew Cuts, which will be a free, full length release on February 20th.  Hoodie has said this will be his “most diverse and interesting project to date” and his first single, “Cake Boy,” proves just that.  The self dubbed, “braggadocios, lyrical tongue twister produced by legendary hip hop producer !llmind” will invite you to live out the fantasy life of a cupcake delivery boy…surrounded by a crew of HB10’s.  Hoodie tells me, if you like sexy girls and you like the Food Network; this is your music video. Hoodie Mob, will you be feastin’ on this freebie?

DO SOMETHING

Hip-Hop, Videos | D-WHY – 2,000 Miles [Music Video]

Posted by on January 23, 2013

After much anticipation, D-WHY releases the visuals to “2,000 Miles”, one of my favorite songs off his debut free album Don’t Flatter Yourself. The song is a coming-of-age of D’s travels from his hometown in West Virginia to the west. For the video, D hoped in an RV with his friends (including up-and-coming rapper KYLE) and set out on a journey across the southern California coast. At the end of the video, you can find a hidden ending that showcases another side of D-WHY, his passion of folk music that recently came to light with his release of a “Song For Newtown”. Check out the video above and download Don’t Flatter Yourself below if you have yet to do so.

It has been a little less than a month since D-WHY’s all-original free album Don’t Flatter Yourself dropped with a star-studded cast of producers and features. Now he has returned with a brand new video for “Ballad Of An Asshole” produced by G.O.O.D. Music’s rising star Hit-Boy. You can read more about D-WHY’s thought process on the song and video on his Tumblr. Check out the video above and be sure to grab Don’t Flatter Yourself for free here.
