Trance | Cosmic Gate, meHilove, Dinka, & EDU

Since listening to meHilove’s Ukraine Mix months ago, I’ve been obsessed with progressive trance and have been eagerly awaiting the release of meHilove’s hit track ‘Daylight’ featured below. You are not about to be disappointed with these progressive trance jewels. Earlier today, as I walked in the rain navigating through space, all I could think of was how dream-like these sounds were.

You won’t find too many songs with vocals on my playlist. I don’t fancy having to make sense of voices during my leisure time. I’d much rather throw on some progressive trance that helps me escape from my perceived reality – that transports me into another dimension. It is in this alternate realm that these sounds remind me that there is nothing worth remembering. One has to feel the sound as opposed to trying to understand it.

These tracks will always remain timeless in my collection and really show me the difference between the songs I like versus those I love. Maybe our love for music is subconsciously trying to tell us the significance of sound beyond our wildest dreams – maybe it keeps the universe from flying apart. Certainly it’s a passion we all share, like a heartbeat.

Preview, Trance | Trance Tuesdays

This is not strictly a trance track, but it is by two of the best young trance producers out there right now and it is amazing. It is set to release on Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats Volume 9 compilation on November 13th.

Orjan Nilsen, a trance producer signed to Armada records has recently become a name that must be known in the trance scene. His recent release “Viking” has been firmly implanted at number 1 on the Trance beatport charts for a couple weeks now and this is only the beginning for this guy. Get it on Beatport HERE.

Albums, Trance | Trance Tuesdays Cosmic Gate – Wake Your Mind Album Review

Yesterday was a huge day for EDM with Kaskade releasing his 7th artist album “Fire and Ice” (review to come soon) and Cosmic Gate the German trance duo releasing their album “Wake Your Mind”. The album is a masterful display of production from start to finish. They are masters of vocal trance with the long vocal builds into a euphoric hands in the air drop that makes you feel like you are at their show. With a good balance of instrumental and stirring vocal tracks with collaborations with other trance heavyweights such as Andrew Bayer and Myron & Shane 54, Cosmic Gate leaves us with a 14 track treat that will leave you hitting repeat. I picked out four of my favorite songs from the album for a full preview and if you like them get this album on Beatport HERE or wait until October 31st for iTunes and other sellers. They are in the middle of a North America tour right now, so if they are in your area do not hesitate to go out to see them.
