Dirty dutch master Chuckie gave us the driving, bleepy original and now has assembled some quality talent to remix this great track. It starts with the biggest name Laidback Luke, who unsurprisingly delivers the best remix keeping many of the elements of the original, but giving the drop driving electro synths for a fuller body. GLOWINTHEDARK & Wax Motif give it a trap twist, while Deorro goes along the same path as Laidback Luke, but adds more of a dutch feel to it and gives great variation between both drops. Mastiksoul adds a tribal feel to the track with more percussion and Crookers rounds out the package with a high pitched lead.

One of the few moments I remember from Laidback Luke’s set from Electric Zoo (its not you Luke, its me), was hearing this track drop and wondering what was this outrageous track I was hearing. Chuckie has had a banner year with tracks like the ubiquitous “Who Is Ready To Jump”, “1234” with Laidback Luke & Martin Solveig “Together” & more. Chuckie tabs Junxterjack on this track that combines the best of what has made Chuckie so successful with the growling electro undertones, while remaining true to dirty dutch with the pounding, pitched drop.

Canadian duo, Dzeko & Torres have been making waves over the past 6-12 months with their intricately crafted melodies and delectable rhythms. They have a knack for taking indie tracks and making them into progressive anthems. They excel at using the vocals and adding their own spin on the tracks with uplifting melodies that will force a smile onto your face. The Animal Kingdom is no different and it is free. Also included is a really good remix of “Who Is Ready To Jump” by the aforementioned Canadian duo that provides their melodic side, but also adds a harder electro tenor to the track to match the energy and power of the original.

Now this is a rare sight to see. It’s no surprise when an artist gives away a download of their set of an event, but a completely different story when they provide downloads for individual edits from their set. What a cool guy Chuckie is for giving these away. The edits below I have ordered in my personal preference, top being my favorite of the three. Below the edits is Chuckie’s actual set from EDC. I didn’t get to go to EDC myself, but the sets I have listened to have all been awesome.

Avicii has finally released a few songs lately with his remix of Madonna’s “Girl Gone Wild” and finally “Silhouettes” getting a release, though it was regionally locked for quite a while. Links below if you still don’t have it. He is also releasing his remix of Lenny Kravitz “Superlove” on May 27th (preview below) so be ready for that one. His Le7els tour has not gotten off to a good start with the first 3 weeks of shows being canceled because the setup was not ready. This means that the south of the US ie Texas, Atlanta and other shows in late may early june are no longer happening, so check your ticket provider for refund details if necessary.
Support for each of the tour dates have been announced with artists like Gareth Emery, Arty, Cazzette, Pleasurekraft, Chuckie and more. Many of these guys headline shows on their own and to have them come as support for Avicii will make for each show to be that much more outstanding and have people rocking from the first note to the very last. Also included is Michael Brun’s May mixtape with an exclusive first play of a remix of his that sounds outstanding, as well as exclusive bootlegs and edits with a fantastic track selection from the just turned 20 year old Haitian. This track from quite the power trio in Chuckie, Laidback Luke & Martin Solveig is pure dance floor madness. The grinding synths, progressive chord progression, pounding bass line, air horns and vocal bit done by the three Djs create the madness contained in this track. This song has been a necessity for a large number of big name Djs like Tiesto, David Guetta, Dada Life etc and with the crowd reaction it is easy to see why this should be a go to energy track this summer.
