Girl Fire, Pop | David Guetta ft. Chris Brown- Don’t Wake Me Up

Posted by on January 16, 2012

The world’s biggest DJ (according to DJ Magazine) David Guetta teams up with the world’s biggest domestic violence advocate to create something similar to David Guetta’s recent collaborations with Sia and Usher. This song is like a budget version of Titanium. Chris Brown hasn’t had this big of a hit since… too soon. Speaking of hits, (because David has plenty of them) did you know that Guetta is really just the face guy when it comes to making the music? Common! You really thought Guetta was producing all of these tracks? The person who’s really producing the music is a Frenchman by the name of Sandy Vee, who’s listed in the credits of every single major David Guetta hit. Guetta more or less tweaks what Sandy Vee does. Don’t let that information get you down on Guetta. That’s just how the music industry works folks.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Pitbull, Chris Brown, Kid Ink

Mr. International and Chris Breezy bring the sky scraping visuals for the summer hit, “International Love”.  The video represents the song well and utilitizes the green screen as good as any video i’ve seen in a while.  If you thought you heard this song overplayed already, I apologize in advance.

Kid Ink dropped a new single featuring ScHoolboy Q, who delivers a crisp verse, as The Alumni handles the hook and the first last verses.  After two successful mixtapes this year and an explosion growth of a fan base, I’m expecting an album coming soon from Kid Ink.  With that being said, this still sounds like a mixtape track, so don’t get your hopes up too soon.

Hip-Hop | Chris Brown ft. Asher Roth + T-Pain ft. Chris Brown

Posted by on December 1, 2011

Chris Brown and Asher Roth…wait, what?  As unexpected as this track may appear to be, we’ve learned that cross genre collaborations are nothing new in the music industry.  We’ve seen Asher team up with Akon and several other high profile artists, so the fact that Breezy reached out to Ash doesn’t surprise me the least bit.  As far as the result of the collaboration, ehhhh.  Weezy’s “rockstar mentality” may have rubbed off a bit on Breezy on this track.  Is it just me or does it sound like he’s trying to sound a bit punk in some parts, like Blink 182 style?  I’d give it a 6 out of 10, but I don’t doubt its capability to catch on somewhere.

This track is another leak off T-Pain’s 4th studio album, rEVOLVEr, set to hit shelves next Tuesday.

DO SOMETHING

Hip-Hop | T-Pain ft. Lil Wayne – Bang Bang Pow Pow

Posted by on November 18, 2011

So we’ve had a few T-Pain tracks released over the past several months that had us wondering whether or not the king of autotune still had gas left in his tank.  Over and over I’ve been telling myself he does even though I haven’t been overly impressed with his music of late.  Fortunately, I think he has finally released something that doesn’t leave me lying to myself.  Pain makes the right decision and links with Weezy, who he always seems to have success with, for the newest single off rEVOLVEr (?).  From what I hear, we can expect this extremely overdue album on December 6th.  Track listing after the break.

Hip-Hop | Busta Rhymes ft. Chris Brown – Why Stop Now

Posted by on November 17, 2011

Busa Buss, simmer down my man.  While the big news of the week was the announcement that Busta Rhymes signed a brand new record deal with YMCMB aka Cash Money (Rapper Mystikal also signed a deal with the label), we couldn’t let this track fall under the radar.  At the age of 39, the seasoned vet is still spurring off words faster than ever and this track proves he may be the fastest rapper ever.  Teaming up once again with Chris Brown for the first track since they collaborated on Breezy’s single, “Look At Me Now”, the duo looks to set the bar high for Busta’s upcoming album, E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event) 2: End of the World.  The album will be the first under his new label and he has also partnered with Google Music, which launched earlier this week, for an exclusive release.

“It’s just amazing to see that they understood what Busta Rhymes means to the music, what Busta Rhymes means to the culture, what Busta Rhymes means to the embodiment of authentic hip-hop,” he explained, after linking with Google to release the new single “Why Stop Now,” which features Chris Brown.”- Busta Rhymes

Hip-Hop | Mike Posner ft. Twista, Body To Body Remix

With only a few days left till the release of his upcoming mixtape The Layover, Mike released this song featuring Chi-Town’s very own, Twista. Hopefully this Sunday we’ll get a taste of the old Mike, prior to that debacle of an mainstream album, 31 Minutes To Takeoff.

For the remix to the love song of the month, Ace and Breezy recruited the Maybach boys, Rick Ross & Wale. Speaking of Wale, he just dropped visuals for Lotus Flower Bomb, & Tats On My Arm, head over to Prefixmag to check them out.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Chris Brown ft. T-Pain – Ni**as In Paris (Music Video)

The Hit-BoyKanye West/Mike Dean/Anthony Kilhoffer produced track off Ye & Jay’s Watch The Throne album is quickly becoming the most remixed track in the game, largely due to the fact the beat is just flat out filthy.  We just saw T.I. give it a go and now rnb-turned rap stars Chris Brown and T-Pain let loose on the track. Well, in reality, it’s only Breezy who works this beat and T-Pain pulls a DJ Khaled and does some high paid shit talking and chirping at the end.  Breezy is still by far a better singer than he is rapper, but he’s definitely progressing with his quick delivery.
