Electro | Clinton Sparks – She Hates Me (Remix)

Posted by on May 3, 2012

The Get Familiar general, Clinton Sparks, takes us back circa 2002, as he puts an electronic spin on Puddle of Mudd’s angst infused “She Hates Me.” As a bonus, I’ve included Clinton’s recent performance with meniscal mashup aficionado and FreshNewTracks favorite Kap Slap, where Clinton debuted his “Who’s Ready To Mother F#ckin’ Rage.”

Hip-Hop | Jacob Es – Paranoia(Official Video)

Posted by on April 17, 2012

The time has come. The Jacob Es x Charlie Like the River contest has come to a close. It’s bittersweet for all of you because you can’t win necklace, but we do get the exclusive drop for Jacob’s newest video. The video features stunning visuals, paired with classic Jacob flow. I say “classic Jacob Es flow” because even in a career so young, he has already created a signature sound through his unique delivery. Paranoia is no different, that Jacob Es style his fans have come to know and love, and of course, he’s rocking Charlie Like the River paint. Charlie himself just informed me this morning that you all have ONE more chance to win a necklace. Go to Jacob’s facebook, and share the video, and you’ll be entered in the drawing for a bonus necklace. For the regular contest winners, check Jacob’s and Charlie’s facebook pages later in the afternoon for the announcement.

Alternative, Dubstep | The Weeknd – Same Old Song (Dolor Remix)

Posted by on February 24, 2012

Dolor has been a reoccurring thought of mine since his remix of The Weeknd’s track – The Morning way back at the start of last year. Sonically, his production is already in unison with The Weeknd in terms of their both common distate for daylight hours motivating their creative process, it only makes sense to see the two compliment eachother. Dolor’s take on Same Old Song if I could play with your imagination, feels like lurking through the great pyramid alone, as his eerie wind chimes reverberate off the cold and quiet hollow spaces of darkness. Also, as an added bonus, Dolor threw in the instrumental version as well.

Videos | De-Lor Performs “Luckiest Man” Live At Venice Beach

Posted by on February 13, 2012

De-Lor Performs “Luckiest Man” Live @ Venice Beach from JadoreTeam on Vimeo.

Although De-Lor has been quiet as of late, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been working. De-Lor recently went out to the west coast to shoot his the highly anticipated video for “Beautiful Life.” Along the way, he made a stop in Venice Beach for an impromptu performance to serenade patrons of the boardwalk. Looks like there was one blonde in particular that really took a liking to the performance. As a bonus, I’ve included more behind the scenes footage courtesy of DJ Moneybags. Hit “read on” for more.

Progressive House | Archie.V – Guess What (Club Mix)

Posted by on February 1, 2012

Archie.V is back with more incredible progressive house tunes. I am still baffled at how he can make such intricate, well built tracks and still have no fan base. This unsigned progressive house prodigy knows what it takes to make club bangers and in the right hands is going to go a long way. Show him some support and like his newly created Facebook page HERE.

Electro-House | Red Mongoose – Kill The Silence (Renier Santoz Remix)

Posted by on February 1, 2012

Alright so I will need everyone to bare with me on this, Renier Santoz is a producer from Brazil, but due to language reasons, it is hard to decipher wether Renier is a he or she. In Renier biography it states both, haha, with that said he/she is an incredible electro-house producer. Influenced by the likes of Lazy Rich, Porter Robinson, Felguk, Far To Loud, Titanoz, and David Menezes. I would also compare the style of this remix by the synths used, that Mord Fustang plays a good role of inspiration. This just happens to be an incredible remix and as a bonus I have provided Reniers awesome remix of Dada Life’s Happy Violence.

DJ-Set, Electro-House, Progressive House | Essential Mix & Selection W/ Madeon, Porter Robinson & Chuckie

Posted by on January 29, 2012

On Friday night, BBC Radio One had a special show from Hull in England with Pete Tong’s Essential Selection show that included a spectacular 20 minute guest set from Madeon, included below, as well as a bonus 4 hours of Essential Mixes from Chuckie, Porter Robinson, Fedde Le Grand (not recorded) and Judge Jules to finish off a marathon night at Hull. Chuckie puts together a fantastic set with some of his new stuff such as his upcoming single “Together”, with his impeccable ability as a live Dj and great song selection. The mix that really stood out for me was Porter Robinson because as his is such as good live Dj, which seems to be a lost art these days and as a 19 year old, it is even more impressive. He is able to flawlessly mix together multiple songs, two or three or more at time, to create ridiculous bootlegs that will always keep you on your toes with a fantastic song selection. Listen to the sets on the BBC Radio One website or download them below. Tracklists after the jump.
