Electronic | Ahead of EDC Vegas, LA producer Christofi inks official collaboration with Axtone Records

Posted by on May 18, 2018

Ahead of EDC this weekend LA-based producer Michael Christofi, aka Christofi, is ready to take the stage with a new collaboration that happened by chance. What we’re hearing is that he released a remix of Adrian Lux’s classic record “Teenage Crime” and it got into the right ears. First it landed over at Proximity which uploaded the track to their channel and now has 200K + plays, Axwell who heads up his own imprint Axtone Records caught wind of it, and decided he want to give it the official stamp. Here we are three days later and the remix now has all the cosigns it needs to head into EDC Vegas this weekend where Christofi will be performing and we have no doubt blasting this remix for the crowd. This is a must listen!

Deep House, Mashups | DOSVEC – Open Your Bullit

Open Your Bullit

Deep House has taken the music world by storm, and what better way to make it pour than by mashing up established acts like Axwell and Dirty South with Dutch Deep House up and comer Watermat to create something sure to take you places you’ve never been?

DOSVEC, who is on his way to earning the moniker of Mashter (Mashup Master get it? Huh? Huh? No? Okay….) has proven many times over that two distinctly different sounds can come together and create something so natural that it’s almost as if it were the original mix. ‘Open Your Bullit’ takes the entrancing vocals of Rudy and combines it with the very Dutch production that is Bullit and what comes out is a mellow collaboration that never happened, but sounds like it did.

The vocals blend very well with the pace of the song, they don’t sound forced or out of place, which is difficult to nail, but DOSVEC is no amateur and he puts his expertise on display with yet another mash that would fit beautifully in any House set. He just took it one deeper.

Michael Calfan - Prelude (Preview)Michael Calfan man I have missed you. “Resurrection” is still an absolute jam and though he has had some bomb remixes since then, the originals have not been able to live up to the standard set by the Axwell approved tune. But with this groovy, throwback, piano house track he may have just topped them all. We will find out when it is released September 12th

A set for the ages, Axwell & Ingrosso closed out Governor’s Ball last night opposite a much more mellow Vampire Weekend on the main stage. The duo were fully invested in their debut performance as Axwell ? Ingrosso, putting just about every other act to shame with their production, launching streamers, confetti, intense pyro and a full on fireworks display that lasted for a few minutes. They also played 6, yes 6 new tracks and two videos have surfaced on the web for you to get a taste of what is to come. Spoiler alert, I took them. Get a good listen now because these will be big, very big.
