Selling out in only 30 minutes (we hope you got tickets), Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats Vol 10 Launch party at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City on February 16th now has the supporting cast to go along with headliner and label head Above & Beyond. A mixture of both Anjunadeep and Anjunabeats will be represented with a cast of American producers, Andrew Bayer, Norin & Rad & newcomer on Anjunadeep, Beckwith. Andrew Bayer is set to release his sophomore album this spring on Anjunadeep “If It Were You, We’d Never Leave”, so expect a new and fresh set from him. We saw both Andrew Bayer & Norin & Rad at Electric Zoo with Above & Beyond and they were outstanding and we are excited to see Beckwith for the first time. The last time we had Group Therapy with Above and Beyond, it cumulated with the above moment at Electric Zoo. This time we will be spending the night with them at Roseland Ballroom in NYC on Saturday, February 16th as they get set to release the 10th edition of their Anjunabeats mix compilation. It has been an eventful past few months for the trio with the rebranding of their long standing TATW radio show into Group Therapy Radio, coming to an end with TATW 450 in Bangalore, India. The compilation will feature 30, yes 30 unreleased tracks from the likes of Arty (I am thinking this one), Anjunabeats regulars like Jaytech, Andrew Bayer, Norin & Rad, Kyau & Albert and of course the label heads themselves (maybe this one). Above & Beyond shows are ones you make every effort and more to attend, so do not miss this one and below is a link for a priority tickets, which go on sale next Wednesday 12/19 at 10am EST and general sale is at 12pm EST. Supporting cast to be announced in the coming weeks so be on the look out for that.
Trance | Kaskade ft. Skylar Grey – Room For Happiness (Above & Beyond Remix)

After playing this out for the past several months and getting its TATW premier a few weeks ago, Above & Beyond returns the favor to Kaskade on remix duties and gives us a heavenly remix of his single “Room For Happiness”. The remix takes full advantage of Skylar Grey’s vocals and adds the emotive trance qualities that this track was almost begging for in the first place.
This release comes on the heals of their announcement of the rebranding of their 9 year tenured radio show Trance Around The World, which will now be called Group Therapy Radio. The announcement to end TATW suddenly at the end of episode 449 came as a shock to many and fueled speculation as to what was going to happen, but this rebranding gives them the opportunity to do play what they wish uninhibited by genre or name. It will continue after TATW 450, which you can hear live this Friday.

Above & Beyond are champions of emotional trance music and following their previous free track “Small Moments” (get ready for the emotional roller coaster), they release the first track on Anjunabeats Vol 9, Tokyo. This illusive track has been something fans have wanted for an incredibly long time with its blissful melodies and emotive strings. A free track from Above & Beyond is something that you absolutely cannot miss.
On November 10th TATW 450 will be taking place in Bangalore India with Mat Zo, Norin & Rad, Jody Wisternoff, and Andrew Bayer. It will be broadcasted live, so be sure to tune in for that.

Events, Review | Global Dance Festival Colorado Recap

One week ago marked the 10th anniversary of Triad Dragon’s Global Dance Festival. First known as Rave on the Rocks, Global Dance Fest started in 1999 at the legendary Red Rocks amphitheater featuring The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim for a mere $20 ticket. Since its early days, Global has been well known for showcasing up and coming artists on the brink of chart-topping popularity. As the festival has grown, pioneers of electronic music such as Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Tiësto, and Deadmau5 have helped give Global the reputation it has today.
This year’s lineup was no let down for the big celebration. Headliners including Steve Angello, Above & Beyond, Wolfgang Gartner, Excision and Zed’s Dead kept the festival alive from start to finish. On Friday, Hardwell, Knife Party, and Steve Angello tore up the main stage with nonstop crowd pleasers and confetti cannons while Krewella, 3LAU and Felix Cartal started fist pumping and shuffling riots at the Global Bass Stage.
Things escalated even more when Manufactured Superstars sent hundreds of inflatable astronauts into the audience and Above & Beyond led an hour and a half long session of group therapy. Wolfgang Gartner. However, remains the most memorable, taking the crowd on a derpgang roller coaster with tracks ranging from “Flexxx” to Notorious BIG’s “Hypnotize.”

When Above & Beyond releases a song, the world listens and when it is free, the world downloads on sight. They have the ability to make songs that pull out emotions that you did not know were possible to reach through music and tug at heartstrings unlike any artist I have every listened to. Their live shows have been compared to a religious experience, something I can vouch for, and by the end you will see many people with teary eyes. “Small Moments Like These” is an ode to all the great times they have had on tour, with their fans and with each other at Anjunabeats in the past year and want to share that joy and emotion with their loving fans through the best medium they know, music. If you have seen them live, you will be hard pressed to keep a dry eye all the way to end of the video and if you haven’t yet for some reason, this should convince you to see them the next opportunity you get. They make some of the most beautiful music being made right now and this is no exception.

Due to its insane hype, Above & Beyond made the right decision to release this remix on its own. Seven Lions have been powering through the charts recently, their album only dropped a little while back and the feedback was immense. The original of this track is undoubtedly just as amazing, but now enjoy the melodic beauty of this amazing Dubstep remix.
