Preview, Progressive House | Marcus Schossow – Reverie (Preview)
Posted by Middy on July 3, 2013
Axtone is known for releasing a select few quality tracks in each year that will have a lasting impact on the sound of that year. This year we have seen the impact of “Wakanda” and the hardstyle revival in mainstream house music, plus Axwell’s return to releases with his own “Center Of The Universe“. Now a staple of Axwell’s sets, “Reverie” from Swede Marcus Schossow will finally get its final release with a remix from Michael Calfan coming later in the summer. The track combines an ominous, spacey build with a hard-hitting, churning drop that should make this a summer favorite. Watch for this on July 12th.
Preview, Progressive House | Tom Odell – Another Love (Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman Remix) [Preview]
Posted by Middy on July 2, 2013
It has been more than 6 months since we have heard anything from Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman. That means Dimitri’s beloved Kansas City Chiefs have won just as many games in that time as they have released tracks. Unlike the Chiefs, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman have a very promising future that is being held back by labels and unknown release dates, such as their remix of “People Of The Night”, their collab with AN21 “Rebel”, both coming of Size Records at some point, this remix that should come out soon and several originals being held up in the pipeline. So preview this track below and know that it is better than watching the Chiefs last season, though that is not saying much… at all.
Preview, RnB | Skit & Tijani – Sweat
Posted by Mach on July 1, 2013
Even with the radio host talking over some of this preview, it is still sex. Tijani and Skit were meant to collaborate, this song just drives deep into you soul. A release is in the works, crossing my fingers for it to be soon. This is going to be a must have.
Electro-House, Preview | Wayne & Woods vs. Henrix – Jumangee (Preview)
Posted by Middy on June 27, 2013
When I hear the word Jumangee, I think of the terrifyingly awesome board game (spelled differently, I KNOW) that sucks you in for 26 years and spits you out with a wide assortment of jungle animals. Now how is that related to this track from Wayne & Woods and Henrix? Probably not at all, though the thumping lead in the drop could be like the elephant crashing through the nearest wall in your house as it charges relentlessly towards you. Watch out for that elephant and for this track July 8th. The elephant may be a more immediate danger, so take care of that first or else July 8th will be the least of your worries.
Drum & Bass, Preview | Rusko – Lift Me Up (Preview)
Posted by Mach on June 25, 2013
Since Rusko released “Thunder” I have been wondering what his next out of this world single would be. This track is going to be huge. OWSLA is pulling in the best of the best, and Rusko clearly had to get his hands on a few of Kill The Noise’s signature synths. Rusko was one of the first bass artist I got into, and he has done nothing but maintain his status as one of the best since I first heard him. “Lift Me Up” releases July 2nd. He will be doing an extensive US tour this fall with Roni Size and Dynamite MC from Florida to California. Dates after the jump.
Drum & Bass, Preview | Phuture Doom – Nightfall EP
Posted by Mach on June 24, 2013
OWSLA’s mysterious, Phuture Doom, is at it again. It sounds like a fantastic Drum & Bass tune, but considering the length of the clip, it could be anything. Though the clip is short, I am really excited from what I’ve heard. The video is trippy, so be ready for something out of the ordinary. The song will be a part of Phuture Doom’s upcoming “Nightfall” EP. No official release date yet.
Drum & Bass, Preview | Haywyre – Fluctuate
Posted by Mach on June 22, 2013
Haywyre is still moving along with his Song Per Week Project, and puts out the his Drum & Bass preview. As a first Drum & Bass track or a 100th, this is killer tune. Haywyre gave this track a Neuro flair to it, maintaining that funk that he likes to incorporate in all his music. Of the Song Per Week releases so far, this one is undoubtedly my favorite. Stay tuned for Haywyre’s release for next week.
