Rising Boston-based singer/songwriter Gillian Heidi has finally released her debut album, ‘3AM’, a project where she flawlessly blends elements of Pop, Indie and Alternative Rock and more. While their are plenty of rising stars in the Pop space I hear something special in this project: not only lyrically but from a melodic standpoint. Listen to the LP above now and read a quote from Gillian Heidi on the release below now.

“I’ve been building 3AM for almost 2 years now, and I have never been more proud of music I’ve released. To me, the album is all about growing up, falling apart, and coming back together. It is my coming of age story. As I get older, I look at the songs on this album as different stages of growing up. Some songs I wrote in eighth grade, some I wrote throughout highschool. They all have different meanings to me and have helped me process different emotions while becoming who I am today. I have never been more excited to release something into the world as I am about 3AM, and I hope everyone loves this project as much as I do!”

Hip-Hop, Pop | Estonian Up-And-Comer SVNDRA Drops Infectious New Single “Rocketship”

Posted by on August 15, 2021

Growing up in the beautiful forests of Estonia, rising talent SVNDRA has always dreamt of a career as a singer in LA. She made her first steps in the US back when she was 17, recording her earliest demos in a basement in Queens, and later moved to LA for 6 months. As a classically trained dancer and highly motivated artist, SVNDRA’s talents quickly became noticed in the hip hop and dance communities, and led to her starting to professionally co-write songs with artists in 2015, and launching her solo career in 2019.

SVNDRA has worked alongside massively acclaimed acts such as Teyana Taylor, Chris Brown and Ester Dean, and has performed at Machine Gun Kelly’s festival, the “EST FEST ” with Interscope artist Phem. Her original music takes influences from hip-hop, pop and R&B, while her live performances are widely known for their immense level of production and energy with distinct choreography, supporting dancers and singers, and masterfully curated concepts.

Marking her third release this year, SVNDRA has returned with uplifting gem “Rocketship,” an infectious single that might be one of her best releases yet. The song, which will be premiered live at the Tallinn Music Week in Europe in September, follows a catchy structure centered around smooth synth chords, rattling hi-hats and hard-hitting 808s, perfectly juxtaposing the singer’s infectious vocal performance, that emits undeniably good vibes.

“‘Rocketship’ is a song about getting on board with your life and your dreams. Who are you to deny yourself from living the best life you can,” explains the artist, who apparently prefers to “treat music like a puzzle”. Throughout her process, she starts off with one element and takes a playful and loose creative approach, allowing her songs to form naturally. This translates in the listening experience as genuine passion and free-flowing originality, something truly unique within today’s musical landscape.

Alternative, Pop | Mitch Jones Drops Long-Awaited Debut EP ‘If I Could Go Back’

Posted by on July 23, 2021

Having gained notable traction in the Twitch community over the years, Mitch Jones is transitioning from streams to songwriting with the forthcoming release of his debut EP, If I Could Go Back. Whether it was World of Warcraft, Pokemon Go, or Just Chatting content, Mitch dominated Twitch with natural decorum and has since accumulated over half a million dedicated followers on the platform. Now, the gamer-turned-artist unveils six heartfelt tracks on If I Could Go Back, many of which allude to the passing of his best friend Byron “Reckful” Bernstein.

In April, Mitch took to YouTube to explain why he’s retiring from the streaming empire he’d built over a decade. Titled ‘Treading new waters,’ Mitch speaks on the devastating impact Reckful’s death continues to have on him a year after the fact, and why he feels it is time to explore other avenues. “Truly I had some magical moments as a streamer, and those days are over,” Mitch says. “Every day that I continue just feels like me trying to relive something that I’ve already reached the peak of.”

“I’ve been a full-time streamer for the past 10 years. I became a person that everyone who watched me wanted to see, and it slowly broke down my mental health over time. I lost some of the best people in my life, to death, or just having them leave me for all of my poor choices. In early 2021, Kala and I connected and we started making music together and it has helped me more than any therapy could. I want to write songs to save people who are struggling, just like I’ve been. Thank you to all of the real ones from Twitch who have supported me in this journey into music. I hope the music can help at least one other person.” – Mitch Jones
