Over the past couple of weeks, Hardwell has been slowly showcasing the fundamental tracks that would make up his debut album, United We Are. This past Friday, the DJ Mag #1 champion released his debut artist LP in full to display to the world why he is considered one of the most influential pioneers of EDM. United We Are attracts the tastes of all house fans as its backbone consists of progressive house anthems and electro house smashes with featured artists including Amba Shepard, Luciana, Fatman Scoop, Jason Derulo, and many more. Progressive House | Hardwell Releases Horrendous “Sally” Single Featuring Harrison

Holy smokes this is bad. Who in the hell wrote this song? The lyrics make me cringe just listening to them. This Harrison guy singing the vocals (who I suspect wrote the lyrics) is hard to listen to. There’s even a cliche “one, two, three go” before the drop. Please make it stop. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not against progressive house. There are many artists who do it well. This track though? It makes me ears bleed. You know what I find hilarious? Last year, in an interview with Armin Van Buuren, he said:
“I’m experimenting with a lot of new, different sounds. I’m a bit sick of the same formula that’s going on in EDM right now so I’m just trying to change boundaries and look at what’s going on in the rest of the world. Even in the hip hop scene and the trance scene and try to combine as much as possible.” [VIDEO]
Hardwell’s “United We Are” album drops January 23rd. I won’t be picking it up.

When I covered Dan Sieg’s A Sense Of Wonder I never thought I would one day be posting up a track I can easily refer to as one that qualifies parallel emotion. Blugazer’s remix to this beautiful track is pure magic. Adding his own simple touches Blugazer transforms “Horizons” into a translucent love piece, with perfect transitions and added chimes and chords that just carry me away. With such sensation backing this remix, I can’t seem to take it off repeat.

After dominating the dance music scene for the past couple years, fans have been eagerly awaiting Hardwell to release a debut album and last month the Dutch pioneer announced the full tracklist for his debut LP, “United We Are.” To begin the monsoon of anticipation, Robbert van de Corput has released the first single titled, “Eclipse,” of which he played for Miami at Ultra Music Festival 2014.
Although deep house is having its time in the spotlight currently, Hardwell sticks to his guns and maintains his signature big room sound that fans have grown to love. The main stage veteran sends shivers down listeners spines from start to finish with classical strings, ear-numbing basslines, and expertly aligned synth harmonies to exhibit his musical mastery. This is the first taste that will have fans fiending more as we inch closer to the album’s release.
