Düsseldorf-based producer and DJ, TOPIC, has been building his profile as an emerging artist that deserves your attention. With a grip of originals, like “Light It Up,” “Fly Away,” and “All This Time,” he’s been able to display his talents in the studio that he started developing at the ripe age of 16. This year, TOPIC is undoubtedly back on the grind as he put out an outstanding new house song, “Home” with Nico Santos, and it recently received a visual accompaniment to give it an extra edge. Although TOPIC is still a relatively new artist, he’s showing a maturity in his music that is common in more seasoned artists. Enjoy the video and be sure to vote for it on mtvU so it makes the cut for airing on TV! Voting ends Friday, March 4th at 2/1c, so don’t sleep! “Home” is also available on iTunes.

Bass, House | Matroda Lights It Up On “Chronic”
Posted by VMan on February 29, 2016
This one goes hard as hell. Matroda is a new guy on my map, but his track “Chronic” that dropped on Spinnin’ the other day was quite an introduction. The bass fueled g-house banger has an eerie lead vocal sample that is captivating and creepy at the same time, and the bass line is as brainwashing as the music video. Check out the visuals and audio for “Chronic” by Matroda, you won’t be able to blink.

Remixes are often great opportunities for artists on the rise, so for the Gold Coast-based producer known as Bergs, this OMI remix was definitely a no-brainer. With a handful of originals and remixes to his name, he’s been able to craft his own lane in the mellower, more daytime-friendly side of house music. Much like his other releases, he’s taken OMI’s “Hitchhiker” and given it his own, deeper flair that was previously not present in the original. Bergs successfully produced a DJ appropriate remix that is sure to light up the impending pool party and festival season. “Hitchhiker” is available for purchase/stream here.
