Electro-House | Doug Bogan – Surrender The Stars
Posted by Mach on October 28, 2012
With Hurricane Sandy’s impending doom of the North East on its way, I was thinking about a Hurricane party. Doug Bogan just happened to drop a track today prefect for such an occasion. I was expecting to listen to a mashup of some sort, in a way I was right, but I was wrong in the best way. Doug uses many vocals we all can recognize from past hits, but what really caught my attention was the instrumental. I am calling this a ‘Hurricane Banger.’ Don’t waste anymore time. Hit up the liquor stores before they are gone and hook up some massive speakers to car batteries, it’s time to rage.
Electro-House | Steve Angello – Yeah (2011 Version)
Posted by Middy on October 25, 2012
After releasing the newer version of “Yeah” that he felt was better for his sets earlier this month, Steve Angello makes good on his promise and gives away the 2011 version of “Yeah” for free. Size Records released a shorter version of the track yesterday and earlier today the full version was released. The song gives us the signature guitar riffs that became synonymous with this track and the “Yeah” chants that would control a crowd. To get the download all you have to do is sign up for their mailing list, which you can unsubscribe from right after getting the download.

Electro-House | The Bloody Beetroots & Greta Svabo – Chronicles Of A Fallen Love

Holy Apollo, I was not expecting this track to release today. (Fact: Apollo was also the Greek God of Music) It has seemed to be forever ago when I first listened to this track played on a Youtube video from a Bloody Beetroots live set. Then I thought it was awesome, but seriously after hearing the real deal I clearly had not fathomed the greatness of this track. Greta Svabo’s voice is absolutely beautiful, the way her vocals portray the lyrics is outstanding. The Bloody Beetroots on the other hand produced something out of a fairytale.
Electro-House | Tom Staar – Cheyenne

Tom Staar continues his red hot second half of 2012, following his most recent remix with Kryder of “Don’t You Worry Child” with “Cheyenne” (an ode to Wyoming maybe?). The track combines the unique percussion heavy style he has championed in his previous remixes with pulsing electro stabs. Following up Popeska’s “Karameter” EP, the Wolfgang Garnter headed Kindergarten Recordings has seen a mini revival lately and should continue to release inventive tracks into the future.

Electro-House | Chuckie & Junxterjack – Make Some Noise

One of the few moments I remember from Laidback Luke’s set from Electric Zoo (its not you Luke, its me), was hearing this track drop and wondering what was this outrageous track I was hearing. Chuckie has had a banner year with tracks like the ubiquitous “Who Is Ready To Jump”, “1234” with Laidback Luke & Martin Solveig “Together” & more. Chuckie tabs Junxterjack on this track that combines the best of what has made Chuckie so successful with the growling electro undertones, while remaining true to dirty dutch with the pounding, pitched drop.

Electro-House | Tristan Garner – Digital Rocker EP
Posted by Middy on October 22, 2012
It is rare that a producer makes music that truly embodies their live DJ personality, but Tristan Garner has done just that with his Digital Rocker EP. His sets are as energetic as you will find in the industry spinning all sorts of tracks from his own, to one of his favorite bands, Nirvana. This EP shows a whole variety of styles from the more progressive “Meteor” to the heavy rock infused “Sloan” to mind melting, genre melding title track “Digital Rocker” that combines rock, dnb and electro all in one heavy, outrageous track. Tristan Garner is quietly making a name for himself not only with his own productions, his record label Xtra Life Records starting to pick up steam, but also quietly as a part of the French super group Reepublic with Gregori Klosman, Sebastian Bennett, Michael Canitrot and Antoine Clamaran.

Electro-House | Carousel – Let’s Go Home (Sound Remedy Remix)

This remix is an incredible listen to end the weekend and usher in a new week. Most of the track starts from chilled out, happy house, but later in the track breaks in a crunchy electric guitar solo. As I listened, I thought the vocals were what really brought this masterpiece together, but the guitar solo takes everything that was there and shoots for the moon. Direct hit.
