Electro-House | Tim Gunter – Moneyball ft. Ca$h Out
Posted by dshaq on November 12, 2012
The good man Tim Gunter has always intrigued me with his ability to create some artfully crafted and catchy beats, and with his new direction towards the electro game, I see a bright future for the boy. This time taking Ca$h Out’s banger, Ca$hin’ Out, Timmy throws his unique touch on it and one hell of a synth. Good things are in store for Mr. Gunter if he keeps killing tracks like this. Show some love on Facebook and Twitter.
Electro-House | Tommy Trash – Truffle Pig
Posted by Middy on November 7, 2012
Tommy Trash has been criticized for not switiching up his sound enough, even though he has created a niche for himself and has flourished within his high energy, headbanging style. As you would expect with a Fool’s Gold release this track breaks out of his previous mold, and brings a more eclectic clubby vibe to the track, while still keeping the grungy charm we expect from a Tommy Trash track.

Electro-House, Progressive House | Norman Doray and NERVO ft. Cookie – Something To Believe In (Remixes)
Posted by Middy on November 5, 2012
Carl Louis & Martin Danielle add the house flavor of the late 2000s to this track, playing off of the piano melody and soulful vocals and adding their own nuanced progressive twist to the track. You have been hearing the Hard Rock Sofa remix of Norman Doray & Nervo’s new single “Something To Believe In” for the past couple weeks on Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman’s radio show, so it is nothing new to you. Hard Rock Sofa take a much more direct approach to this one, largely eliminating the existing piano melody and replacing it with their own big room synths and a grungy electro drop. Of the two, I prefer the nuanced approach of CLMD, but the Hard Rock Sofa remix is a great energetic alternative.

Electro-House | Afrojack – Annie’s Theme
Posted by Middy on November 5, 2012
While some may not like the bleeps and bloops of this track, this brings us back to Afrojack’s productions reminiscent of “Replica” and “Doing It Right”. It may not have the same flare of some of those older tracks that helped catapult him to the superstar status that he now basks in, but the onslaught of bleeps and fine tuned synth play brings us back to Afrojack’s dutch productions of old and may hold the key for what is in store for the future.

Electro-House | Hard Rock Sofa, Matisse & Sadko, Swanky Tunes – Chemistry (Turn The Flame Higher)
Posted by Middy on November 5, 2012
Yes you read that right, Hard Rock Sofa, Matisse & Sadko AND Swanky Tunes have all combined to make a track. That is 7 producers for one track. All that is left is to add Arty to the mix and we have a real party. I wonder who had a big enough studio / enough vodka for all of the them… Anyway, the track combines the big room tendencies of Matisse & Sadko with the grungy electro dispositions that we have seen in recent tracks from Hard Rock Sofa & Swanky Tunes — all balanced with a quick alternating bass line.

Electro-House | The Two Friends – Big Booty Mix, Volume 2

Haha, well isn’t this a sweet surprise. It wasn’t too long ago that The Two Friends graced us with their Acoustic cover of their hit “Solitaire.” Now we bring you The Two Friends’ epic mashup mixtape, “Big Booty Mix, Volume 2.” I was not familiar with their first mix so after being sent this gem, I had to take a peak into the past. I have to say while Volume 1 is still full of great hits, there are finer booties in Volume 2. The further I tiptoed into this mix, the louder my footsteps became discovering the great vibes controlled throughout this amazing hour of BIG bootlegs. Keep your eyes peeled, this duo has a few more tricks up their sleeves.
Electro-House | Showtek & Justin Prime – Cannonball
Posted by Middy on October 29, 2012
Musical Freedom releases another bomb from Showtek as they continue their crossover several years in the making from hardstyle into more accessible electro house. This track is still very influenced by hardstyle, as evidenced by the bouncy bass line, but the growling undercurrents and big room build makes this track more in line with their recent work and set to do some damage on dance floors worldwide as we get through the fall and into the winter season.
