Bass, Dubstep | Sam Lamar Gets Mystical With The Divination EP
Posted by VMan on November 8, 2019
Last time we saw Sam Lamar with Kannibalen Records he dropped his Major Arcana EP. Well, today he continues that magical endeavor with another EP, The Divination, on the Montreal label. This time around we get two bass singles, focusing in on the dubstep genre, but don’t expect the usual when it comes to Sam. He’s established a unique style and this EP sees the next step of his evolution. Not only does Sam Lamar have a signature style, but within each track he is able to take us on a ride through different sounds for a fresh experience. This is what bass music should be.
Dubstep | Birthdayy Partyy Take Us To The Top w/ “The Summit”
Posted by VMan on October 9, 2019
Birthdayy Partyy are taking a step away from their usual house sound to bring us an all out dubstep anthem. “The Summit” is a melodic dub original that stands up to the best of this style over the years. Birthdayy Partyy have an uncanny ability to capture an emotion or vibe and they certainly do that here with their courageous cut. Dubstep isn’t something I often throw on to just listen to, usually I need to be in the right place for it, but “The Summit” is an all the time tune.
Dubstep | TryB’s “Hiss” Tackles Dark Trap Sound With Original Feel
Posted by VMan on April 16, 2019
Offering both a personality and talent behind the decks and studio, Tryb’s “Hiss” embodies personable party moments with hard-hitting, bare-bones trap. The result is a well-constructed club banger that takes control of the room, ruthless MCing and annihilating bass coming at your full force throughout. The energy on this one sets the tone of the night as well as establishes quickly what TryB’s angle is musically.
TryB is active in the scene to say the least. “Hiss” is far from his first song, embodying the rough identity the soloist has presented as an artist aside from the music. Garnering well over 100,000 plays on SoundCloud alone, TryB’s music sets a perfect stage for a good time out with bass-loving friends. Undoubtably, this artist has more tunes that are set to release, keep an eye on him for more updates soon.
Bass, Dubstep | Birthdayy Partyy Celebrate Their Birthday With Remix of “Ouch”

Birthdayy Partyy celebrated their actual birthday yesterday with the release of their remix of “Ouch” by Bring Me The Horizon. We’ve seen the twin brothers take on many genres in the past, dubstep being one of them, and here they return to the bass-booming style once again. This wub-heavy remix is coming just in time as festival season is around the corner. With so many bass DJ’s taking over festivals across the world, don’t be surprised when you hear this one pop up in a lot of sets. It’s got everything a great bass track needs. Lastly, this is a gift from Birthdayy Partyy, so download it for free!
Dubstep, Remix | Birthdayy Partyy & RaceCarBed Collide For 2 Chainz Remix

Birthdayy Partyy came in with another hot release, this time in company with the duo RaceCarBed. This adds yet another epic flip to an already stellar pile by the Chicago brothers. Dubstep isn’t something we always see from them, but when they do decide to turn up the bass to maximum gnarliness, it’s a nice shift. Grab the free download and stay tuned for more from both acts as they continue to take over 2018.
Bass, Dubstep | Kedzie Drops Debut EP On Kannibalen Records
Posted by VMan on August 8, 2018
If we were going to use fantasy sports terms, then we’d have to say Kedzie is a sleeper pick. He may not be the most well known bass producer, but he just might become on. His unique style has been laid out single after single, but now the Chicago producer has dropped his debut EP on Kannibalen Records. Showcasing his expansive sound like never before, we get to hear new sides to Kedzie in three tracks. Together they are the biggest piece of evidence as to why Kedzie needs to be a name you follow from here on out.
Dubstep | Top $helf Drops Debut EP Oblivion on Kannibalen Records
Posted by VMan on June 20, 2018
One name that keeps popping up in bass music is Top $helf. The LA beatmaker has had a string of solid releases, including our introduction to him last year on the Kannibalen Records Christmas compilation. He has now returned to the illustrious imprint with his debut EP, Oblivion, that comes complete with four tracks. All four singles share a certain tone that weaves them together as a project, but each have their own identity within the grand scheme. It’s a project with depth and we’re glad Top $helf finally took the step to do an extended project like this one.
