Senior Dunce Drops New Single, “City Centre”

Korean-born electronic artist Senior Dunce makes a powerful entrance with his new single “City Centre,” a pulse-raising dance cut drenched in emotional depth. Known until now as a sound designer, educator, producer, and former club owner, Senior Dunce takes the spotlight as a solo artist — and proves he has plenty to say, and dance about.
Blending groovy rhythms, fast house textures, and an undercurrent of personal reflection, “City Centre” isn’t just made for the dancefloor — it’s a beat-driven memoir of belonging, memory, and miscommunication. Inspired by his time living in Liverpool, the track traces the emotional terrain of being a foreigner, navigating both cultural and linguistic gaps. A pivotal mispronunciation — “centre” as “centray” — became a moment of connection with his local Scouser friends, a shared laugh that anchored him in unfamiliar territory.
“Those were the days I felt completely lost yet deeply cared for,” Senior Dunce shares. “I couldn’t sleep many nights, overwhelmed by my outsider identity. But my friends helped me feel seen — and that feeling is immortalized in this track.”
