BLK&WHT and Tony H both found their musical beginnings through early influences in their lives. BLK&WHT grew up surrounded by music, with his father, Sherman Cohen, being a prominent DJ in the 1980s, and his brother, Ben (DJ Figure 9), helping to guide his early experiments with production. Tony H, on the other hand, built his foundations through his own journey in the tech house and deep house scenes, cultivating his sound by immersing himself in underground electronic music communities. Both artists developed a passion for pushing boundaries, and their individual paths would later cross to create something new.

As they each built their careers, BLK&WHT and Tony H made significant marks on the scene. BLK&WHT expanded his reach with his “Grey Matter” podcast, a platform that showcases underrepresented talent in electronic music. Tony H’s launch of Late Night Munchies in 2015 laid the groundwork for a community of house music enthusiasts, furthered by his 2017 mix series, “The Drive-Thru,” which highlights DJs from around the world. Their combined experiences have shaped their approaches to collaboration, blending their distinct styles into a shared creative vision.

Their latest track, “Give It To Me,” exemplifies their combined talents. A seamless mix of house and tech house, the track features a smooth vocal lead over a driving beat, maintaining energy and flow, perfect for keeping the dance floor moving all night.
