Spring Awakening Music Festival 5-year Anniversary | June 10-12

Come Friday, June 10th, Spring Awakening Music Festival (SAMF) will be celebrating its five-year anniversary by throwing a 3-day party with a hefty lineup of artists. In addition to an impressive bill of performers, SAMF has recently revealed the layout of the new festival grounds, which look equally impressive. The festival contains 2 gorgeous stages, 2 tent structures and a silent disco. In years prior the festival took place at Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears… however, for the first time, SAMF will take place at Addams/Medill Park, which is a short 3 miles west of the old venue. The new location and festival grounds allow for more accommodations and a more maneuverable landscape for attendees… an idea that excites us all.
As mentioned earlier, the bill of artists is stacked with many different types of performers including headliners such as Deadmau5, Kaskade, Zeds Dead, Steve Aoki, Above & Beyond and tons more. I will be giving artist recommendations as well as walk you through my personal schedule, but a full Lineup is also included below for you to gander. Additionally, all set times are provided… the festival will carry on each night until 10pm. But, there are numerous after party options for those who want to continue dancing deep into the night.
Alright, to the music… For each day I have listed five artists I consider to be “must see” acts. This proved to be much harder than expected due to the depth of talent booked, but here is what I have come up with:

Disclosure: Some of my schedule is skewed between priority and decision because many conflicts exists where I have already seen one of the artists. Example: Seen Kaskade, never seen Zeds Dead… but I would probably recommend that you see Kaskade if you never have.
