DUBSTEP | Artist You Need To Know – Flux Pavilion

Although dubstep originated in the UK and had a much more grimey feel, for the last 5 years dubstep has slowly been creeping into the music scene in the United States, especially in the last 6 months. If you played a Rusko track for me two years ago and told me that I would be listening to this music on repeat…I would have thought you were nuts. Fast forward to present day and take a look at my top 25 most played tracks on my iTunes, (beneath Halo by Beyonce) you’ll see at least 6 of those tracks are all dubstep. Flux Pavilion has penetrated the dubstep genre with filthy basslines, a nice blend of vocals, and massive drops that literally leave you’re jaw dropped. Flux Pavilion created his name off the sole definitions of both words. Flux meaning the flow or rate of energy, and Pavilion meaning a place where entertainment is held. Put those together and you get exactly what Flux Pavilion is about; more energy that a six year old 2 sodas deep and as much entertainment as watching your boss struggle to finish an ICE. Flux aims to create music that literally takes over your body and allows it to give each listener the ability to move to the sounds in their own way…meanwhile still giving them the goose bumps from the massive drop he just threw in you’re face. If you’ve listened to the gold dust remix he did, you know he does exactly that. Flux’s music has a much more mainstream edge combining lots of vocals, clean whomping, and several drops…allowing him to become one of the faces of the dubstep genre in the music industry of the United States. From raves to fraternities, Flux Pavilion is getting people’s ears wet all across the globe.
