Its here. The early contender for track of the year has finally arrived and we could not be happier. This is an example of a track that was not made to fit the trends of the moment, but rather to last for the next ten or twenty years. Originally played at last year’s WMC, “Payback” sounds like it was made today or even 5 years from now. It is proof of what timeless dance music can be. Folks, FNT is getting ready to invade WMC ’14 in Miami with an early morning flight out of New York, and I will be documenting my trip with updates of shows that I will be attending. My first show will be at Mansion on Tuesday night seeing Above & Beyond, along with their Anjunabeats label mates Norin & Rad, and Beckwith, which will make for a an unforgettable night of deep house and trance. It’s been a little while since we last heard from Pierce Fulton, but he is back in 2014 with a vengeance, ready to commence his release schedule with a bang. Just In time for WMC, he previews his first originals since “Where We Were” last August. “Old Man & The Sea” was first premiered at his debut headlining Webster Hall show in October and has since been number one priority for his fans. He packages that with another equally melodic tune “Runaway” that features some rare male vocals, but is something that works on his tunes, as seen with his “Don’t Be Afraid” remix. The EP is coming March 31st, so get ready.

Electro-House | Autoerotique & Felix Cartal – The Alarm (Charlie Darker Remix)

Canadian producer, Charlie Darker has been slowly rising in fame and stature since he was taken under the wing of Wolfgang Gartner last year with his “Atlantic / Pacific” EP signed to Kindergarten Records. He has been busy releasing a slew of remixes and originals since then, padding a growing discography, but few compare to what he conjured up here.
Charlie Darker keeps the “alarm” sound from the original, while adding a driving low end, to give the track the power and stamina that it lacked originally. This remix saw its fair share of plays during WMC and has been heavily supported by Hardwell. This remix has already seen its fair share of support, but look for that to increase this summer. The remix will also be featured on Hardwell’s Revealed Records 4 Compilation, set to release June 21st.

Yup that title is right, Hardwell & Laidback Luke coming together on one massive track that has been wreaking havoc somewhat secretly or not over the past few weeks, especially at WMC. The track clearly blends the best of both worlds from the two artists with the big room talents of Hardwell and Laidback Luke’s bass lines and dutch influenced synth leads. Progressive House | Walden – Intropial (Remixes)

Australian youngster, Walden in the midst of his first WMC, unveils the remix package for his recent single “Intropial” on Big Beat Records. The first remix comes from Pierce Fulton, who strips back some of the big room tendencies of the original and focuses on the groove with a strong bass line and his own simple, yet effective melody that is perfect for the Miami sun he is currently soaking up. Special Features adds his fast paced bright synths to the track that do not stray too much from the original, but still remind us that the young British producer has yet again added another solid remix to his growing discography. Ghost provides a heavy dubstep take on the track, while Dutch duo TV Noise add gritty electro to it.
