Canadian producer Chet Porter’s recent release “Tbh Ily” was an uplifting, melodic masterpiece with its wistful poppy electronica appeal. In an effort to further add to the track’s ethereal ambience, French newcomer Kidswaste adds his own personalized touch to the original, resulting in a beautiful rendition that has us wanting more. Kidswaste has been gaining a lot of praise in the last year with his meditative, melancholic sound, gaining support from some of the biggest producers in the game such as Skrillex, Martin Garrix, and Diplo. Melbourne indie/electro-pop producer, Emerson Long, just shared his latest single, “Heatwave”. The first of many planned by the producer in 2016, “Heatwave” is moving and emotional, featuring beautiful vocals with melodic synths. Emerson put it perfectly when he said, “This track was based around a relatively simple idea of meeting someone a little bit special…I just want ‘Heatwave’ to be something people can come together and have fun with…Something that can add a little touch of summer to your life.” Given the freezing temperatures outside right now, I’m sure we can all use a ‘touch of summer’. Warm yourselves up, and check out the track now!
Techno | Justin Jay Delivers A Stunning Edit of Barnt’s “Chappell” Ahead of the New Year
Posted by Tay on December 21, 2015
Los Angeles-based producer, Justin Jay, releases his edit of Barnt’s “Chappell” as a gift to us to close out the year. For this release, Justin brings on Henry Was for drumming duties to add to Benny Bridges on guitar. The crew puts their own touch on “Chappell,” with live instruments, driving percussive additions, and subtle production tweaks, and the result exceeds expectations with its overall livening of the techno track. Justin Jay has been changing the game with his innovative stylistic choices, and he’s expected to continue in 2016.
“With Benny Bridges on guitar, I saw this techno anthem by Barnt as a way to start messing around with Henry’s crazy drum sounds. We had so much fun making it and even more fun playing it live. With it being the holiday season, we wanted to give it to you guys (especially DJ’s who need an extra jam for those holiday sets).” – Justin Jay

As if Dabin’s original single “Touch” with Daniela Andrade wasn’t beautiful enough, Kannibalen Records enlists three remixes for the magnificent musical specimen. As you can expect from the Kannibalen crew, they diversify the EP with sounds ranging from club-friendly side, to the headphones and chill side. Kicks N Licks bring the bass with their dubby interpretation that plays towards a festival friendly style. Ghosts, who already has a strong catalog of quality remixes, adds another with one of the most sensational house tracks that has graced the deeper side of the genre. Lastly, Imagined Herbal Flows brings a downtempo future remix that rounds out the EP quite nicely. Dabin and company only brought three tracks to the table, but they weren’t messing around with their choices. Suffice to say, the Touch Remixes EP is definitely worth the purchase price!
