The Aussies are back again with this bootleg of Jurgen Vries classic track “The Theme”. It was originally teased several months ago, but was just made available for download today. It takes the classic track and adds some uplifting progressive synths and a hard break. The original is a song that has stood the test of time and been remixed and sampled countless times, but this remix is one you will need to add to the number of quality mixes of this track. Old Man is a classic record that’s enshrined in the memory of us all, for me it was the only record in my dad’s collection that I could appreciate. Originally released in 1972, here we are 40 years later listening to Sound Remedy’s modern day refreshment, paying homage to a record that clearly stood the test of time.

I don’t know whether or not I like Scarub. So why even post him? Well because his music is almost undigestible and that intrigues me. He passed the initial “beat with a nice sample” test but his verses seem a little rough on top and I can’t tell if it’s on purpose or not. I gave him the benefit of the doubt since he sampled California Dreaming, but I’ll be curious to hear what you all think about him. Sound off in the comments section, is this “real” Hip-Hop or not?
