House | Anjunadeep Announces 6th Compilation
Posted by Middy on August 26, 2014
Anjunadeep may not be as celebrated a label as some other underground imprints like Dirtybird, Toolroom or Defected, but it is rising quickly to that stature with a propensity to find talent early and cultivating them into budding superstars, like what they have done with Dusky and Lane 8. They have been the forefront of the spacey, progressive, groovy deep house sound that so many have come to love.
Already onto the 6th one, Anjunadeep has announced its upcoming mix compilation with a host of unreleased and exclusive remixes and originals. Just taking a quick glance through the tracklist, their biggest to date, you have tunes from Dusky, Lane 8, Isaac Tichauer, Jody Wisternoff, Beckwith and a whole lot more. It will arrive in stores, digitally and physically on September 8th, so pre-order on iTunes and the Anjunadeep store. Listne to the minimix below and check out the tracklist after the jump.

I know a lot of ya’ll are all about that big room progressive house sound, and with support by mega producer EDX, I’m here to give ya’ll exactly what you need with Looney B’s remix of Bimbo Jones’ funky disco record “I Found Out,” off their album “Go Naked,” and it’s massive! The spacey melodic synths are so damn catchy it’s impossible to not smile and get lost to the sound. This is one of those feel good records that you’d be lying to yourself if you weren’t feeling it, no lie. This is a must listen and support by copping the record on iTunes!

Electronic, Techno, Trap | Brodinski feat. Theophilus London – Gimme Back The Night (Ateph Elidja Remix)
Posted by Spice on November 27, 2013
Ateph Elidja is the newest member of the Bromance Records family, so it seems appropriate that one of his first official releases is a remix of label head Brodinski’s “Gimme Back The Night.” The original was dark and brooding to begin with, but this spacey and supremely industrial treatment takes it to another level. The Parisians are definitely not slacking in the creepy department these days, but I’m totally digging the vibes.

Deep House, Techno | Tittsworth vs. Drake – African Drake (Tittsworth Hold On We’re Going Home Bootleg)
Posted by Spice on November 20, 2013
The homie Tittsworth dropping some fierce, deep goodness for those of you who enjoy getting serious and maybe a little bit weird. The only recognizably Drake element in this techy rework is the vocal hook, which ebbs and flows in spacey fashion and generally takes a backseat to everything else going on. Dark, minimal, but unrelenting, this freebie is not one to miss if you fancy yourself to be of the underground persuasion.

Hip-Hop | Dom McLennon – UNTLTD FLX
Posted by W8 on November 10, 2013
Dom McLennon (of Alive Since Forever) is a young East Hartford, Connecticut native high off his (our) consciousness, subconscious, unconscious? I don’t know, I’m baffled by the word word. Go with the flow and kick back to this spacey beat trapped in the clouds.

House, Preview | Disclosure – F For You (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Remix) [Preview]
Posted by Spice on July 16, 2013
Mark my words: 2013 will go down as the summer of Disclosure. Settle has already taken the blogosphere/world by storm, so it’s not terribly surprising that high profile remixes are beginning to pop up.
With “F For You,” the consummate niche-occupier/genre-defier better known as TEED takes an already great song and ramps it up about seven levels. Where Disclosure’s original is tight, polished, and crisp to a fault, TEED’s is spacey, a bit dark, and hypnotically stripped down. Damn. I might like this more than the original, and I like the original quite a bit. Keep your eyes peeled for a release date — not shocking/almost fitting that this went up without one.
Preview, Progressive House | Marcus Schossow – Reverie (Preview)
Posted by Middy on July 3, 2013
Axtone is known for releasing a select few quality tracks in each year that will have a lasting impact on the sound of that year. This year we have seen the impact of “Wakanda” and the hardstyle revival in mainstream house music, plus Axwell’s return to releases with his own “Center Of The Universe“. Now a staple of Axwell’s sets, “Reverie” from Swede Marcus Schossow will finally get its final release with a remix from Michael Calfan coming later in the summer. The track combines an ominous, spacey build with a hard-hitting, churning drop that should make this a summer favorite. Watch for this on July 12th.
