“‘Crystal Lights’ was an idea that came about pretty naturally. I wrote the song pretty quickly andfeel it represents the ZUSO sound quite well. I actually took a bit of inspiration from one of my past ep’s ‘Lost In Time’ with this one and wanted to bring those feelings of escapism and vivid imagery back. It’s definitely a song you can get lost in and let go of all worries too, and I hope it has the same effect for everyone who listens.”~ ZUSO

Albums | Jantoje Releases his Verano EP

Posted by on January 24, 2024

Jantoje is the brainchild of Sydney producer Jake Edwards, who is crafting a unique blend of indie-dance/electro-house music that can be likened to a mix between Rufus Du Sol, Odesza and Hayden James. Check out the new EP above now and a quote from the bubbling artist after the jump!

“This track was first started about two or three years ago. It wasn’t until I was going through all my project files from an old computer earlier this year when I came across it again. I had the progression down and added a vocal sample which I liked and chopped it up a bit with some resampling. Even though the song was first started a few years ago it actually came together quite quick and goes to show how your creativity can change overtime. I hope this track makes listeners want to dance at a festival or to go travelling and explore!” ~ Jantoje

Albums | Haan808 Unveils Addictive Anthem ‘I Ain’t Playin’

Posted by on October 9, 2023

New Zealand’s Haan808 continues to impress. With releases on Good Enuff, Monta, Quality Goods Records, and bitbird, the talented producer has been carving out his own lane with the backing of some of the best in the game. Marking his return to FUXWITHIT comes ‘I Ain’t Playin’ an addictive genre-blurring bop. The track follows his previous releases with the label including ‘Star Fire,’ ‘Stay With Me’ and ‘Main Phase.’

‘I Ain’t Playin’ is a groove-filled anthem that mixes elements of Haan808’s bass-leaning signature style with hints of UKG for a fresh feel. Built around an impassioned and addictive vocal loop, it creates an incredibly catchy feeling while delivering an emotional pull. The lyrics will be running through your head like an old flame. The introduction combines lush pads, crisp percussion, and airy synths for a dreamy vibe. Hitting listeners with a wild switch-up, the track ups its energy with dancey drum programming, pulsing low-end, ghostly vocal chops, and commanding melodies. Echoed vocals and empty space intensify the impact of the switches. Equally at home soundtracking a break-up or rattling dance floors, ‘I Ain’t Playin’ is an infectious anthem for any occasion.

“After watching Skrillex, Four Tet & Fred again.. play they are set at Coachella live stream, all the songs had crazy switch ups and all the songs had such a groove to me. It also looked like they were just having a jam, nothing planned—big inspo for this song. I approached the song the same way. No intention just see what happens.  I enjoyed making something a bit more upbeat than usual. There is a lot of sound design in this track for me” – Haan808

I wrote this song as an ode to the act of making music itself. The line heard in the intro “Take me there” is referring to the mental flow state I’mtaken to whilst making music. Music for me is an outlet more than anything else.In order to be myself, I need to get in the studio and create. It’s something that I just haveto do, like a typeof Therapy.” ~ Late Night Therapy

Albums | “we’re the last to leave” is the latest offering by Aussie artist Ordley

Posted by on February 2, 2023

Ordley is rising Australian newcomer who is crafting a unique blend of indie-dance/melodic-house music in the same lane asa Fred Again, Duskus and Tourist. His latest drop “we’re the last to leave” is a groovy one well worth checking out, so listen to it now above and read a quote from Ordley on the release below!

“This is a song about conveying the tension from how we wish life would be and how it actually is, and the strains this can place on our romantic relationships as we find the resilience to keep going. I wrote and produced this song in one morning after hearing a news segment about young people’s employment still not recovering after the pandemic, and the anxiety this was bringing to them. This was all too close to home for me as an artist, and that emotion went straight into this record. Musically, it’s a fun, chill record. Fast and dancey. I think the percussion has a UK rave feel, keeping the momentum super high and the vocals are showcasing my fun and playful nature.” – Ordley
